We meet together three times a week. One of these times is for a Bible study. In the Bible study we are going through the book of Jonah. This book has really been a blessing for us. In this book, we saw the heart of God~that He wants to save everyone. I have given different books of the Bible to the believers to study. Whenever I visit them, we discuss any questions they have. I think that this has been a really good method for helping them to grow in the Word of God, and through this method we can really understand and study each book of the Bible.
I was able to tell a few new people about Jesus during Christmas! (“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:14-17)
There are many new believers whose families do not allow them to come to my place to attend the church service. Because of this, for Christmas we planned to go somewhere outside and have fellowship.
We had planned that only the believers would meet together, but this is that time of the season when we can share about Christ to everyone openly because of Christmas. I had only called the believers to come, but the believers also invited their non-believing friends. Among these friends there were a few Muslims. This was really a good time for us to be together to worship God. Here in my country, people know about Christmas as a festival that celebrated by Christians, but they do not know the real meaning of Christmas. This was a really good opportunity for me to share the real reason as to why we celebrate Christmas. The Muslim brothers who had come to the fellowship told me that they also believe in Jesus, but that they believe that Jesus was not crucified. They believe that someone else was crucified. So I shared with them that Jesus was indeed crucified for our salvation.
I thank God for the strength He gave me at that particular time to share about our savior Jesus Christ. And I believe that in the coming times we will see the fruits of the seeds that God helped me sow in their hearts that day.
