Vincent Family May 2026 Missions Blog

Greetings from Mexico. I hope that you had a wonderful month of April! As I write this family update, we just finished up our big weekend where we presented the project to purchase the church that we are calling “The Legacy Project!” This is hands down, the biggest most faith filled mountain of a project we have faced in the 24 year history of our church! In this update, I want to tell you all about it.

The first thing I want to do is to THANK YOU! So many of you have been praying for us in this project. I also want to thank those of you that have given or are praying about giving a financial gift for this great project! As I was praying over this building project, the Holy Spirit gave me the title “The Legacy Project” and then shared with me the reason for that. The phrase we are using to share this project is this: “The Legacy Project is more than just purchasing a building, it is Building a Legacy for God’s Kingdom!”

The great blessing of this project is that it gives our congregation and all of our ministry partners the opportunity to leave a great LEGACY here on the earth. A LEGACY of salvations, a LEGACY of missions and church planting, a LEGACY of reaching the world for Christ even after our time on this earth is done. Now saying all this, the Legacy Project will take a miracle to pull off.

The total cost of the project is 1.4 million dollars to finally purchase our 24,000+ square foot church facility! Now if I was living in the United States, that would lead to taking a quick trip to the local bank, getting a loan for the church, and “TA DA”, problem quickly solved. Unfortunately, here in Mexico things don’t work like that. Banks in Mexico generally don’t give housing or building loans, and that’s why those types of purchases are done privately with usually at least 50% being required to be put down as a down payment. Facing that situation, our faith filled leadership team decided to ask God to do far beyond what we could ask or think and raise the entire amount together!

The Bible verse that God placed on my heart was the famous generosity passage that Paul the Apostle wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, where God’s word tells us… 6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

In this opening weekend when I presented the project, God led me to not request any funds, but instead we had three primary focuses in our opening services. First off, we shared with our people the need (The 1.4 million dollar total purchase price of the building)! Secondly, we asked our congregation TO PRAY about giving a generous and sacrificial gift! And then third and finally, we asked our church TO BELIEVE with us that all of the money needed would eventually come in!

So I come to you our precious friends and ministry partners and ask you to please join us in prayer for this great project. This project can seem impossible but we believe the words of Jesus found in Matthew 19:26 , “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are impossible!” I have had several friends ask me about other types of giving besides cash gifts, and the answer to that question is YES! We are able to receive donated lands and properties, houses and/or condo’s, and even stock options and sell them to make generous donations towards the Legacy Project.

I have had a few friends in our church that would like to make a gift but will not have access to their finances immediately. The good news is that I do have a ministry partner that is willing to loan us a large amount of money up front to help us purchase the church property and pay back that loan after a year. To do that, we would need to have partners that are committed to be giving a financial gift later on in the year. Please pray for those generous donor’s as well. .

Even though my weekend sermon focused on our new Legacy Project, several other wonderful but unexpected things happened at our four weekend church services. First off, we got to celebrate 14 (mostly) new believers get baptized. We also had 10 first time professions of faith spread out over our services as well!

If God places it on your heart to partner with us in this project, we do have a special account through our mission’s organization (Saving Grace World Missions) set aside for the Legacy Project. Please contact me or my father Mark if you have any questions about partnering with us in the Legacy Project. And as always, all financial gifts are 100% tax deductible, anonymous, and all of the funds will be used in the facility purchase.

Finally, I want to thank you once again for your partnership with our family here in the ripe mission fields of Mexico. It is through your prayers that God meet’s our spiritual needs, and it is through your financial partnership, that God meet’s our physical needs!
