Vincent Family January 2026 Missions Update
Greetings from Mexico. I hope that you had a blessed Christmas and a very happy New Year! As I write this family missions update, it is January first 2026, and probably just like you, I am wondering where 2025 went! The year went so fast, but once again we got to see God’s amazing faithfulness and blessing here on the mission field of Mexico. And as our mission’s partners, you were a huge part of a very fruitful year here, and for that I want to thank you. December was a busy month full of Christmas events and outreaches, and in this update, I want to tell you all about it.
The month begin with our annual servants appreciation desert. This evening is always one of my personal favorites, because we get to celebrate and thank the many faithful believers in the church that served in a weekly ministry. We had an amazing evening full of thanksgiving and gratitude, and cake and pie and cookies. (all calorie free of course) Our church was happy to give all of our servants an end-of-year Calvary Rosarito Coffee cup as a thank you gift. When we took the end of the year servant’s photo, I was amazed and encouraged to see over 250 people in our church that serve in a weekly ministry!
Sarah was the next one with an event as she hosted our annual women’s Christmas dinner. Our ladies look forward to this special evening every year, and this year did not disappoint. The ladies enjoyed a Holiday craft, special music, and mouth-watering food. The hi-light was definitely the inspirational teaching from Sarah’s good friend Debbie Bryson. The focus of her teaching was on the hope of Christmas and I was blessed to see how touched our ladies were. As always, Sarah hosted the entire event, and she did it all bilingually while translating herself. (Floating effortlessly between English and Spanish)
That same day, I was visiting my good friend Hugo Limon’s church in Ensenada (1 hour drive south) at his church, Horizonte Ensenada. The title of this conference was “PREVAIL” and my assigned teaching was on (Surprise) church planting. The conference was fantastic and several of our church planting students joined me.
Later on as Christmas approached, our church held several evangelistic events. We had a seasonal Christmas concert, full of the Christmas classics, and also a wonderful Christmas drama with amazing actors powerfully portraying the original Christmas story. Our church was encouraged to bring non-saved guests and they did that with GUSTO! We had about 800 people in attendance at each of these Christmas events, and several first time professions of faith at each event! Thank you Lord!
I was blessed to once again teach our Christmas services, and the title of my sermon this year was “Get Ready for Christmas”! This topical sermon focused on how the Biblical characters in the Christmas story prepared for that very first Christmas. As a church we then applied those lessons to our lives to help us prepare for the true reason for the season. It was a wonderful celebration and it was especially fun for me because we had the children of the church in with us during these family services. And even though we amped the kids up with way to much Christmas candy, it was awesome seeing these families worshipping and learning God’s word together.
On the family side of things, we were blessed to receive some family visits in December. My mom and dad (Mark and Diane) came down to visit us for the weekend before Christmas. And then we had Sarah’s mother and father over for Christmas dinner. Christmas day was a little different this year, as we didn’t have any power all day long. (The electricity was out because of the storms) So we got to share a “JESUS STYLE” Christmas that ended with a candlelight dinner.
After that busy month, our family was blessed to go on vacation, as we took a quick weekend trip to the beautiful nearby village of Julian! This trip brought back many memories as we used to take our kids there every year back in the homeschooling days. To take Grace and Daniel back to that spot, and enjoy some hiking and the famous apple pie gave us some new memories that our family will never forget.
Finally, I want to thank you once again for your partnership with our family here in the ripe mission fields of Mexico. It is through your prayers that God meet’s our spiritual needs, and through your financial partnership that God meet’s our physical needs. We love you and are thankful for you.
Con mucho amor de Mexico, (with much love from Mexico)
