September through November Newsletter

Hola family and friends,

These past few months have been very busy for me, but I must say I am extremely blessed! There are always new challenges and lots of growing opportunities. This September, I accepted a teaching position at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Ensenada. I taught a Tues. morning class of 18 girls ranging in age from 16 to 50+.   It is a bilingual college with students from Mexico as well as the U.S.  One girl, Mary, came all the way from Nigeria, Africa!  The class was based on the life of Ruth and focused on 10 qualities of a godly woman.  It was clearly a challenge for me, as I teach children, and this was my first time teaching at an accredited college.  It was a lot of work, but well worth it.   I enjoyed the class thoroughly and Lord willing, will teach again in the fall of next year.

We enjoyed a visit from Calvary Chapel Mid Valley in October.  It was their first time visiting, and we were all so blessed by them. They did some painting, a mini V.B.S. with the kids here,  prepared a marvelous Italian dinner for our Servant’s dinner, and served in the Children’s Ministry at both churches on Sunday for all of our teachers so they could have a break.  Pastor Dave Cuff also gave an excellent message on serving the Lord.  We pray that they will return again soon!

I was part of a first time English Bible Study in Ensenada with some good friends, Christina Abundis, Karen Coleman, and Monica Arista, who happen to be missionaries as well. We studied Esther with Beth Moore, and it was excellent! I haven’t been part of an English Bible Study in more than 15 years, so it was a real treat for me.  Monica, one of the gals, prepared a beautiful “Feast” for us all on the last night, and we called it the “Feast of Purim.”  What a blessing it was to study the Word of  God together.   God is so full of blessings!

Thanks Monica for a fabulous evening!
