The length of the email that I would have to write in order to express everything that the Lord has done in the two years since we arrived here in Japan, would be so long that no one would want to read it. But you know what they say about a picture and it’s worth, so I will attempt to share with you the last few months by letting the pictures do most of the talking.
We continually find ourselves feeling blessed to be serving alongside such an amazing team of fellow missionaries. Above are pictures of some of the amazing people serving with us here in Japan (and there are several others as well!). .
The Japanese are often interested in American holidays, and we try to take advantage of that by using those holidays to do outreach. We handed out over 2000 Christmas tracts as well as 1000 Valentine’s Day tracts and hundreds of Easter service invites.
The Lord has given us opportunities to teach at the church. Alishia shared at the women’s bible study and I have had the opportunity to teach the mid-week service once a month.
We host a Young Adults’ dinner and bible study in our home once a month. It continues to grow as the opportunity to be invited to another person’s home is very rare in Japan, and many like the experience.
We have been very fortunate to have visitors from America these past few months. It’s an amazing blessing when people take time and resources to come half-way around the world to see us.
The Christians here are such a blessing to us. They help translate for us when the language is above our level. They have helped with doctor’s visits and government paperwork, setting up appointments and fielding dozens of questions that we have asked.
Worshipping alongside the Japanese is easily the best part of serving here in Japan. The church is small, but the saints are passionate. Please continue to pray for them as many face persecution from their families and friends.
