I’m Youtube Famous Here in Mexico
Walking down the streets, of some of the most remote towns in Mexico, my ears are filled with whispers, and giggles. Everywhere I look there are people looking at me, some smiling, some staring, and even some pointing at me. Because it turns out, I’m famous. I’m one of the most famous YouTubers in all of Mexico. I’ve had dozens of people stop me to take photos with me, or just to talk, it’s amazing being famous. Only one problem, they think I’m someone else. Turns out I look like some famous Mexican YouTuber.
Now at first it was a little weird, taking photos with random people, who think I’m this guy (which we do not look alike), but I soon realized it’s great. Why? Because it’s an in. Yes they are meeting the wrong guy, as they hope to meet this famous man, but I’ve been given an opportunity to share with them, and because of this small connection, their happy to talk to me and see what this crazy group of Americans are all about.
“A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.”
Proverbs 18:16
Now you're saying, “what does he mean by that verse?” Simple, the Lord gives us gifts that lead us to minister to people, mine just so happens to be that people think I look like this guy Luisito Comunica (seriously look him up, he looks nothing like me), but yours could be anything. I had no idea of this gift till coming here, and can’t really use it else where, but the Lord knows your gifts. It can be something grand, or just looking like someone else and bringing joy to those around you. Or it could be something simple that has lasting effects that just ripple through the world, such as prayer or encouragement.
Now as fun as being a celebrity has been, and it’s been fun, it’s not the point of me being here, the people are. And I can say the Lord has moved mightily. We have seen dozens of people come to Christ, mostly from the children’s outreach we have been doing with many local churches, and it has just been so sweet. So I would like to say thank you to everyone that has kept us in their prayers. Those of you back home have as much a part to play in what is going on here, as those of us here, and the reward is just as great. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything.
And just one last thing before we end this letter. I won’t be able to write a newsletter next week. This Wednesday we will be heading out to a remote tribe in central Mexico, with no internet or power. So please keep us in your prayers, and that great things would be done in His name.

Prayer Requests
I would ask you to pray for the team, for our health and cohesion. And that the ministry we are doing here would be fruitful. I would also ask that you pray for the Lord to speak to us here and to guide the students. I know that the Lord has directed me to Japan, but many of the students, though they have the heart to go out, don’t know where the Lord would use them yet.
Our Ministry
This ministry is not just my ministry, it’s our ministry. When you come along side me in prayer, encouragement, or financial support, you reap the rewards of this ministry and store up treasures in heaven. As these are the rewards of the ministry. This is just as much your ministry as mine, as I am the hands and you become the arms when you join with me. So thank you.
