Connections House Dorm Purchase Update

We have continued to see more funds come in toward the purchase of our team dorms! God is so good! As you can see above, we are in need of $52,603 in order to purchase the property outright. The date for the purchase to go through has been pushed back a little to allow us time to process things. It means paying rent just a little longer, but will give us until March 15th to receive donations. Remember, there are two ways to give. The first way is through gofundme – it’s convenient and online. The second way is listed below – it’s through the mail but is tax deductible. Thank you in advance to all of you that are considering to partner with us in this way. Remember, no gift is too small!

Family Update

Kristy and William had the opportunity to take a short trip to Illinois and Wisconsin. This included some wonderful family time, as well as visiting many friends and supporters. The ulterior motive for this trip was to try and help get Kristy healthy, as she has been dealing with a cough, more than usual headaches, and other symptoms for over three months. Our hope was that the mold we found in the bedroom closet was the cause. After returning to a clean, repaired, mold-free home, a few days ago, the symptoms have not completely disappeared. So please pray with us that they subside or that we are able to find the cause of the problem.

Both Brian & Brittany have started new jobs recently. A few weeks ago, Brian took the position of Pastor’s Assistant at their church, Calvary Chapel Playas (a CCR bilingual church plant in Playas de Tijuana). It is a full-time job that he will be working while attending the university in Tijuana to get his degree as a teacher of foreign languages. He is in his third semester. Brittany began a new job today as a nanny for a 7-month old infant in National City, CA. She will be crossing the border four days a week. Please keep them both in your prayers.

CCR Church Planting Update

A local family of three recently moved to the state of Guadalajara in central Mexico to plant a church, Capilla Calvario Esperanza Viva (Calvary Chapel Living Hope). We are super excited for them and their team, which includes a couple that moved down about six months ahead of the pastor and a single Bible college graduate. We hope to be able to take a trip to Guadalajara to support them in their journey.

We are also praying about a couple of trips to Santa Cruz, California (about 9 hours north), to help out with the new church plant, Santa Cruz Bilingual Church. One trip would be to help move the pastor and his family, who are currently missionaries here in Rosarito and are on staff at CCR. The second trip would be to help with outreach for their big kick-off later in the year. Please pray with us that the finances will be available and that the plans would work out for these trips.

A huge thank you to those who have partnered with us financially, both personally and with the purchase of Connections House. It’s amazing how buying this property is actually going to help us with our personal finances as well. We look forward to sharing the details about that with you all soon!
