Have you imagined that cross-cultural missionaries serving in some distant country are somehow closer to God? Perhaps you believe they are much more spiritual than the average Christian churchgoer
In regard to God’s reward, missionaries are no better than you. People are people and we all fall short. NO WHERE in the Bible does the word MISSIONARY appear! And no where in the Bible does it say that missionaries get some special reward for “going” as opposed to “sending”.
Finally, do you know how God rewards us? He rewards us for our faithfulness and diligence with what He gives us! Remember Jesus’ parable, “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Mat 25:21
