No Turning Back!

We stand in awe at all the Lord is doing in our lives and around the world. We want to thank you for your prayers, support and steadfast commitment to partner together with us to see the verse “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 become a reality!

We are called to teach the Word, equip and raise up the next generation of church planters and leaders. But, we know that there is a cost to discipleship, especially amongst the unreached areas where we work. It brings us great joy to share with you just a few of the stories of those who we have been investing in as they are answering the call and counting the cost.

S. Asia Teaching & Graduation

In our recent travels to S. Asia, Bond was able to teach at CBI in S. Asia. This is our newest campus that was established a few years back, but the amazing part is that Bond has taught these students in multiple countries (Nepal, S. Asia and online) and over multiple years. During our recent time in S. Asia, Bond was able to teach through the books of 1 & 2 Corinthians and teach on how to oversee a church. In addition, we were able to be a part of commissioning these young men during their graduation ceremony. This was the first graduation in this location, since last year the students joined us in Nepal.

We have been a part of a lot of graduation ceremonies in S. Asia and Africa over the past decade, but this time it hit differently. After Bond preached the graduation message, we heard testimonies and prayed over them. But, it was the time of worship that caused tears to well up in our eyes.

The young men belted out these lyrics at the top of their lungs, from the depths of their souls, and as a declaration to God:

I have decided to follow Jesus (x3)

Though none go with me, still I will follow (x3)

The cross before me, the world behind me (x3)
No Turning Back, No Turning Back!!!

After countless hours of teaching, studying and equipping from the staff and teaching pastors, these young men have counted the cost and committed their hearts to obey God….No Turning Back! When you know the backstory of this hymn, it is even more powerful because a man in S. Asia was asked to renounce his faith when the village chief threatened him. The lyrics of this hymn are his statements before his children were killed, before his wife was killed and before the chief took his life because he refused to deny his faith. Following Jesus in S. Asia comes at a great cost. As our graduate’s sing, No Turning Back, will you join us and commit to praying for them as they are sent out to minister and make disciples amongst 1.2 billion that are still waiting to hear the good news!

Sending Them Out Two By Two

We have had many people invest in our lives over the years and it is our honor to do the same for others who are also called to be sent out to the nations. After interning, traveling to Nepal, Mexico and Peru with us and after countless hours of missions training we named “Peru Prep & Prayer”, we are thrilled that Jordon V. and Andy were sent out from The Rock and are now serving as full-time missionaries at Calvary Bible Institute Peru and Calvary Trujillo. Please keep them in your prayers as they serve the Lord in S. America!

Building Projects, Blessings and Basketball

Bond always says….this one is the last building project (yeah right I have heard that many times before)! Currently, the CBI campus in S. Asia is preparing to break ground. We have a team building a men’s dorm at CBI Peru right now to house future pastors and missionaries. We are also coordinating budgets and proposals for a new CC Church Building in Pakistan and completion of the 2nd story of CC Dumre in Nepal. Would you please join us and pray for great favor over these building projects in purchasing materials, managing workers and quick completion of these buildings to be used for God’s glory?

Heather was blessed to teach at the Women’s Christmas Dinner at The Rock and last month at the Women’s Conference at Saving Grace. Please pray for the Medical Team that arrives later this week in Nepal and the Mountain Team that arrives later this month that Heather is helping to coordinate.

Breanna completed her first basketball season and they placed 1st in their league!

Pray for our family as we will be serving in Nepal, India, Mexico, Peru and Ecuador this year!

With Love and Thanks,

Bond, Heather and Breanna
