Impossible Things Happen

When you look on paper, November seemed crazy and nearly impossible….like what were we thinking? But, we knew that only God could divinely orchestrate such an incredible schedule this past month with:

  • 3 teams totaling 30 people that headed to 2 villages
  • 14 different people stayed at our home in Nov. (from 3 countries)
  • 8 pastors from the USA visiting
  • 125 Nepali pastors and leaders for a conference
  • 14 trips to the airport
  • 85 people at our home (homeschool group, ladies, pastors, friends)
  • 4 medical clinics
  • 6 outreaches in the slums / leper colony / villages
  • 5 church plants visited
  • 26 students finished classes this semester and served their hearts out
  • 12 national staff rose to the occasion to host, cook, teach, coordinate, and lead
  • 2 people who we could not have done without…the Garcia’s
  • and a partridge in a pear tree

That is a lot of moving parts, emails, food, travel arrangements, laundry, transportation and a lot of people who were ministered to and all because we have a great GOD who is in the business of doing impossible things!

For those who prayed, supported, sent and came….thank you! God heard and answered so many prayers as our family and the staff remained healthy, everyone was safe, no luggage lost, no accidents, amazing and timely provision to meet each one of the needs mentioned, no issues from the government, national pastors were encouraged and built up, hundreds heard the good news and were prayed for. We share all of this to make much of what the Lord has done and is doing in Nepal and because you are a part of it all. To GOD be the glory!

CHURCH PLANT TRIP TO FAR EAST

Last year, Majhiya graduated and returned to his area with a desire to reach people about 45 minutes from him home town. Recently he moved with his wife and 2 boys into the area where he started a bible study many months ago that has now blossomed into a church. They meet in a covered shed and are going through the book of John. We heard stories from throughout the region and how others have tried to establish a church but because of the persecution and difficulties all have left. It can be lonely to be the only Christian and the only light in the area, which is why our family boarded a plane and took a trip there. We visited their home, church and village and returned with a greater burden to pray that God would do great things through Majhiya and CC Rangeli despite the opposition and challenges in that place.

PASTORS & LEADERS CONFERENCE

We have been a part of many conferences in the past, but this one was special. The reason being was that it was mainly for those pastors and leaders who have graduated, been discipled through the ministry, planted a church, or who are leading in their places and are close friends.

The CC Pastors and Leaders Conference in Nepal was held November 18 – 20th and not only were there 125 attendees from all over Nepal, but we also had our dear friends from Pakistan and S. Asia attend. The visiting pastors taught through the book of 1 Timothy and closed the conference with communion and a commission to “Guard what was committed into your trust.” A friend of ours who has been coordinating conferences for many years in Nepal, commented that it was the best conference he has ever been a part of which was so encouraging and an answer to many prayers.

In addition, the visiting teams provided medical check-ups, treatment and free medication for conference attendees. It was beautiful to see the body of Christ using their gifts to bless those serving on the front lines.

Ephesians 3:20 says “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” Indeed, it was a November to remember and one we will never forget! We were spent for Jesus and at the end of month we were exhausted and yes we were able to rest. But, when God orchestrates it all and brings about such a beautiful plan of countries colliding…impossible things happen!!!

We send you Christmas greetings and we want to let you know that we love you and John 3:16 proclaims “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” We will finish the decade off in the USA, giving thanks to God for all He has done and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible!

With Love,

Bond, Heather and Breanna Gaona
