I’m Going to Peru!?

On May 29th at 6 PM at Calvary Chapel WestGrove we will be hosting a missions dinner that will include me sharing about my trip to Uganda as well as the one to Peru. Do you want to join me in reaching those who don’t know Jesus? Read this update to know more about it!

Hanging out with the high schoolers at a fundraiser for our Uganda trip in June.

So the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily.

Acts 19:20

This verse is squeezed into a jam-packed chapter about the city of Ephesus. The word of God is the only way men will be saved and sanctified. Why did so many people from Ephesus turn from idolatry – So much so that there was a riot because of the lack of people buying statues for idolatry? (read Acts 19:21-41). Because the word of God was taught day and night by the apostle Paul. Ephesus was a place of great idolatry, immorality, and industry. It was a port city, it had a marketplace, and it had roads to major cities in the country. If anything could be exported quickly, it was through Ephesus. And what did God decide to export quickly through this city? His word. His word is what changed people.

Brother and sisters, I have known for some time that the Lord has called me to be a faithful teacher of His word, and most likely in a place where most people have never heard the name of Jesus. If I want to be used of God, I must prepare myself to be a faithful teacher of His word.

Starting this August I will have the wonderful opportunity to spend 4 months in Peru as a student at the Calvary Bible Institute. While I am a student I will also serve as an intern for Calvary Trujillo, Peru. While I was at the school of missions I had the pleasure of being fellow students with two people from this church as well as meeting the pastor who taught some of our classes.

For the month of may I am teaching the kids on Wednesday nights through a series in Acts called “The Messengers” where I get to share how we are all messengers of the gospel!

Before I go to Peru, God willing, I will be joining a short term team to Uganda in June (12-24)! We will spend these two weeks traveling to different places in the country, encouraging the churches, and sharing the gospel! We recently did an Angel game fundraiser for this trip which included a tailgate under the big A where we shared the gospel with people. I even got to share with a man from India!

This will be a sweet time to eat, fellowship, and learn how to be involved with what God is doing in these countries! Would you please save the date and consider joining this dinner?

Thank you so much for your constant prayers, love, and support in the gospel.

For His Eternal Kingdom,
