United in Spirit

This month has been a crazy one for all of us.

I mean, if I had told you last Easter that in 2020 no one would be in church for Easter service, you would have laughed me out of the room. And yet, that’s exactly what happened.

We celebrated the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord from the solitary confinement of our own homes and immediate family circles and yet the message and the ministry are still thriving.

This month I have had the privilege of connecting with several of our missionaries over the phone and over video chat and I have been so blessed to hear about their lives and pray over their families and ministries. We also started up an all SGWM Missionary prayer meeting via Zoom and we have anywhere from 20 to 30 missionaries join us every Thursday morning from all over the world. I am always so encouraged by their faith and the Lord’s goodness when I listen to them pray. It truly is an honor to link arms with them.

Our youth ministries have continued via Zoom as well and I’ve been blessed to see some of the youth in person!

I also help with the live streaming of our Thursday and Sunday services. I have learned how to use several types of streaming hardware and software and I’ve enjoyed serving God’s people in that way. It is pretty amazing to know that something so simple can be so important in our present circumstances and I’m blessed be part of the Saving Grace family as well as the Douglass family so that I can continue serving in the midst of these circumstances.

All in all we’re seeing the Lord work in the midst of the lockdown and though the enemy is trying to make us feel isolated and alone, we know that we are united in Christ. It has been a privilege to be part of the ministry in this season.

Please pray for the sheep all over the world. The enemy is trying to pick people off and leave them depressed, discouraged, and in despair.

I would also appreciate prayers for my upcoming wedding and marriage. Isaac and I are looking for a place to live that is within our (tiny) budget and I’ve just started looking into low-income housing in the Yorba Linda area. Please pray for the Lord to lead us and to provide the perfect place!

Praise God, He opened up the OC courts’ marriage license issuance so we are able to get our marriage license! We have an appointment on May 22nd.

If you would like to give a one-time gift to help Isaac and me as we start our life together, or if you’d like to become a monthly financial partner, I would LOVE to talk to you more about the work I do with SGWM and the impact your gifts have, not only on my life personally, but also on the world.

Thank you for all of your prayers, love, and support. It really means so much and I pray that the Lord would continue to bless and keep you in all that you do.
