Hello!

Wow. Just wow. There is so much that God has done in the past few months and if you have followed me at all on Facebook or on my Christ Pursuit blog I must beg your forgiveness for neglecting to update you all!

Life has been somewhat crazy and I have gone through quite a few transitions, the most notable of which is my new position as administrative assistant with Saving Grace World Missions.

Many of you know that during the months when I am not traveling abroad for school, I work as a waitress. Well, not anymore! I recently finished my bachelors degree in Biblical Studies through Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, California and I was working at a restaurant in Brea. Through a coworker, I got connected with Calvary Chapel Saving Grace (CCSG) in Yorba Linda and my heart was right at home. Saving Grace World Missions is a branch off of CCSG which has a huge heart for missions and missionaries. The desire and goal of Saving Grace World Missions (SGWM) is to reach the whole world with the gospel while connecting churches in America with those on the “frontlines” of the battle. SGWM is designed to come alongside missionaries and help teach churches how to send their own missionaries so that the work can be greatly advanced and multiplied.

That is my heart as well! Over the past year, God has greatly burdened my heart for missionaries and how I can serve them and come alongside them in the work that God is doing through them in whatever country they are serving Him in. It was such a blessing to fall in step with people who are already doing exactly what I felt God was asking me to do.

Around November of last year, I remember meeting the women who got to work in the SGWM office and thinking, “Wow. What an awesome job that would be. I wish I could do something like that!” and lo and behold, God was at work.

Just months later, the position of administrative assistant with SGWM opened up and I was able to talk to the Pastors, send my resumé, and schedule an interview. Two days after my interview, sandwiched by much prayer, I was offered and accepted the job!

As admin assistant I get to do all things missions! This includes working directly with missionaries to appropriate their financial support as well as pray with and for them, planning short term trips, hosting a table at conferences, sending missionary updates to their donors, coordinating missions focused events, dinners, and meetings, and helping churches connect with their missionaries.

This map, surrounded by pictures of our missionaries, takes up one wall of my office as a reminder to pray for the nations and for those laboring for the Gospel throughout the world.

I could not be more blessed to be part of this ministry as we together are obedient to the Great Commission we have been given by Christ.

Please keep me in your prayers, as this is the greatest way you can support me. There is a lot of spiritual warfare that surrounds the work we are doing because Satan hates that we are sharing the gospel in places where he has had strongholds for too long. The Light is going out and the darkness is lashing back, but Christ is greater and has already overcome!

Training has been going well and I have learned a lot already but it’s kind of like looking at the Empire State Building and being told you have to climb it freestyle. By God’s grace, I’m making my way up the building one foothold at a time but there’s still quite a way to go.

Through SGWM I receive an hourly wage, but not a large amount. This is because I am also a missionary of SGWM and I am support based just like any of our missionaries on the foreign field. The only difference is that I am stationed on the Homefront to make sure that they have all of the administrative support and help they need to do what God has called them to do on the Frontlines.

This is a calling, not a job, and I definitely didn’t accept this position for the money but you know the God we serve. He has so graciously provided for me thus far and continues to faithfully provide for all of my needs. I feel strongly that the money I receive is not mine, but God’s and that I am simply a steward of the tools He has given me to advance His Kingdom. The Great Commission is not just for pastors, evangelists, and missionaries. It is for all of us within the body of Christ. Please pray about how you can be part of the Great Commission whether through prayer, financial support, or service. God certainly doesn’t need us, but He wants to use us if we are willing.

So whatever that looks like for you, get up! Get moving! Be involved in the work God is doing because your option is to be involved or miss out.

You can become a financial partner by giving online through this secure link, or by sending checks to the address at the bottom of this post.

If you want to partner with me in the work God is doing through me, you can do so by signing up to receive my monthly email updates, becoming a prayer partner, and, if you feel so led, by becoming a financial partner. Thank you so much and may God bless and keep all of you in His grace and peace. If you would like to meet up over coffee to talk more about this and ask questions, get more information, etc. I would be more than happy to meet with you!
