The Final Countdown

I only have two weeks left in Italy and they are going to be jam packed!

Tomorrow our hermeneutics block class starts and will completely change the weekly schedule. Usually we have Mondays off, but tomorrow we will have 5 and a half hours of hermeneutics and then our usual classes will continue on Tuesday through Friday with the addition of a 2 and a half hour hermeneutics class everyday. The idea is that you get a semester’s worth of class time and learning in just two weeks so it’s nose to the grindstone, but only for a little while. Unfortunately my mom will be arriving right in the middle of this craziness because of a scheduling error which made it so that the class was moved to these next two weeks rather than last week and this coming week.

Prayers for diligence and proper time management would be appreciated! My mom wants to see everything she possibly can during her time here, and I would have loved to be by her side, but that just isn’t possible with all of my classes. However, if I am diligent with my homework, I hope to be able to see a lot of it with her.
Also, please keep her travels in your prayers, as she has two layovers and three airplanes to catch. She leaves on Wednesday May 17th and arrives here in Venice at 8:20 pm on Thurday, May 18th.

It is slightly overwhelming to look at these next two weeks and think about how quickly they are going to fly by. Before I know it I’ll be graduating with an associates degree!
If you would like to watch the graduation ceremony, it will be streamed live from the church website; I will get the exact time info for you all so that you can tune in if you wish to. It will be morning California time on Friday, May 26th.

Love you all!
