It’s Too Late!

Hi you guys!

I hope you guys are doing great. I pray that God continues to guide you in what He has for you. Keep seeking Him, He wants to do great things! I can’t believe the time is going by so fast! We officially have 2 weeks left. We are ending our last week here at The Connections House and it has been so sweet. From the classes to outreaches and praying for the nations, I am in awe of how God has been moving. He’s been teaching me so much. I wish I could show you guys the notes I’ve been taking during my time here.

This week we had the opportunity to serve at a rehab and share Gods love with the people there. Worshipping with them was awesome! During this time though, I was hit with sadness. All I wanted to do was cry. I kept thinking of someone in my life who also struggled with alcohol, and how I wish I could have had the opportunity to do the same thing for them. To worship with them, share Gods word, and ask how they’re doing and if they need prayer. To tell them that God waits for them with open arms, no matter what they’ve done. The sad reality is that it is way too late for that. They’ve passed away, which breaks my heart because I am 90% sure that they died without Christ. It breaks my heart to know that I can’t do anything for them. In my heart I kept asking God, why? Why didn’t He send someone like my team to them? Or what about some kind of dream or vision? I know these questions may seem silly, but when you love someone that much, you want to do anything you can to save them. But, God loved them more than I ever could. He gave them a choice to make and they chose something else. As much as their decision was the worse possible decision, that’s reality. Humans love their sin. After all my questions with God. I couldn’t help but finish with this answer. God is sovereign. He is on the throne. He is intentional and He is still in control. My best friend offered me some wisdom. She said let that be my heart for everyone who is on their way to hell now. Doing all I can to tell the world about Jesus, who will save them from hell, where they will no longer have the chance to make a decision.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life
John 3:16

Go Tell Them

As basic as John 3:16 may sound, there are those who haven’t heard it. They don’t know that there is a God who loves them and sent His Son to die for them. And if they don’t know, then why don’t we go tell them? What’s holding us back? I include myself because this is also me! We had a pastor come and open our eyes to the state of the sinful world we live in. Pastor Rob is a missionary who is filled with stories of how God has been using him to reach the unreached.

Gods heart is for the world. He loves them. But the world is so lost. I think of religions like Hinduism which is basically demon worship. They have millions of gods which are actually demons, that they offer sacrifices to out of fear that these demons are going to kill them or take certain things away from them. They would rather feed a cow on the street, which they also worship, rather than the starving kid right next to that cow. All they know are these gods and they’re killing themselves just to please demons. I also think of families selling one of their kids to be a prostitute just so they can feed the rest of their family with that money. But this is all they know! How can we expect them to do anything different? This is their world and they’re okay with it. It’s normal to them. But this isn’t what Gods Word teaches.

There are more terrible things that these religions do that will make your blood boil. If it makes me angry, how much more our God? So, who will go and tell them?

The same broken heart that I had for that person I talked about in the beginning, is the same heart I have for the nations. This should be all of our hearts. What will we do with this Gospel that God has entrusted to us?

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"
Romans 10:14-15

These people groups do not have Christian friends. No Christian neighbors. No one who is an ambassador of Christ. Someone has to go. Pray that God would send people into His harvest. Seek Him to know how you can be apart of the Great Commission.

Upcoming Events!

We’ve been spoiled these past 4 weeks by Ron and Kristy who run Connections House. They’re too good to us! This weekend we attended the Church Planting Conference hosted by CC Rosarito. It was so awesome to see all the churches come out to learn how they can become a church that plants churches that plant churches! My heart was so happy to see that my pastor and church family came. It was refreshing to see them after 4 weeks. Tears were shed! I also got to see my mom and some of my tias, such a blessing! We’ll be leaving to Culiacan on Monday. We’ll be spending 3 days in the mountains with the Kuare Tribe while we’re there. This tribe was once an unreached people group and now they are reached! The Sunday will be their first ever Church service, praise God!

Thank you guys so much for keeping up with me through these news letters. It makes my heart happy to see your comments and encouragement!

I’d like to mention something. I have the opportunity to attend a Church Planting conference in Peru in September and serve there, along with taking classes on church planting. I think this’ll be a really good opportunity to learn more about what it takes to plant a church and talk with pastors who are currently doing just that. With that, if you would like to give toward this trip I would appreciate it!

In His love,

Alani

We’ve lost some and others still have a chance. May we always have the burning in our hearts to share this amazing news, the good news that Jesus saves and we get to live with Him forever?!?!? Best deal ever!

What an emotional blog to read today, it is so difficult to accept that some of our loved ones died without Jesus 😭
