Vincent Family August 2019 Missions Update

Greetings from Mexico,

This past month we have been busy preparing for our upcoming international church planting conference. Please keep this bilingual event in prayer (August 9th and 10th) as many of our church planters are flying in to join us for this amazing time together along with many local friends interested in church planting. We are excited to have a great group of speakers this year including Pastor Trent Douglass (my sending Pastor from CCSG), Pastor Juan Domingo (who planted the first Calvary Chapel in Mexico over 30 years ago) and my good friend (and our church planter) Hugo Limon!

In this update I wanted to help you get to know Hugo Limon and the great work he is doing down in Culiacan Sinaloa! (The hometown of the infamous drug lord, El Chapo!) Hugo and his wife Brenda came to our church many years ago with a heart to church plant! Hugo joined up in our church planting program, and quickly shot to the head of the class. His many years of ministry experience and grounded view of the scriptures revealed that this man of God  had the potential to have great success in his church plant!

Later on, our church ordained Hugo, and he was a great blessing to me as one of our churches assistant Pastors. Our church family was also blessed with the beautiful voice of Hugo’s wife Brenda, who was a featured soloist on our worship teams!

After completing our church planting program, we sent out Hugo back to his hometown of Culiacan to church plant in one of the most unreached cities of Mexico! Although things have not been easy, within a year his congregation had grown to over 100 members! Throughout his time there, Hugo has never lost his vision for church planting! And after just one year, he began his own church planting program modeled after our school here in Rosarito!

After just two years, Hugo sent out his two assistant pastors for their first church plant to the south of the city! (Culiacan Sur/South) After his third year, he planted his 2nd church, in the east! Not only has God been blessing these new church plants, but his main congregation (which we call a sending hub) has continued to thrive and grow as well!

I am so excited that God has brought friends like Hugo Limon to join our church for a time, to be trained and then sent out to do the work of the ministry that God has called him to do. When I see our church planters planting churches, it makes me feel like a proud grandpa!

I share Hugo’s story with you, because his church plants are your spiritual fruit! As Paul the Apostle wrote, I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase! We are so honored and blessed that you have chosen to partner with us prayerfully and financially! God has brought us together to do an amazing work, and we are thankful!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel
