Vincent Family June 2016 Missions Update

Greetings from Mexico,

This past month of May I had the blessing of traveling around Central America on a missions\church planting tour. In this update, I wanted to share with you some of the exciting things that God did on that trip!

1

There was a group of 7 of us that traveled from our church here in Rosarito, our church plant in La Paz, and one of our partnering churches in Las Vegas! (CCSpring Valley with my good friend Pastor Derek Neider) The purpose of this trip was twofold. We went to #1- build up the local churches through leadership conferences, and #2- Scout out cities for a training center\church planting hub!

Our journey began with 4 days in Honduras. Honduras is a beautiful country with loving people, but it was the poorest of the three countries that we visited.  While there, we hosted a 3 day non-denominational leadership conference. We taught the Pastors and leaders about leadership development, church planting, evangelism, and how to teach the word. The people were hospitable and kind and we hope to return soon!

Our next stop was for a 3 day trek through El Salvador. While there,  we led a leadership conference for the local pastors in the capital. (San Salvador)  During the conference, I was blessed to teach on discipleship and encourage the 300 in attendance to focus on discipling and continue to raise up their local leaders.

A special highlight in El Salvador was traveling there with my good friend and Assistant Pastor Fernando Serrano. Fernando’s mother was from El Salvador and he grew up hearing stories about his mother’s beautiful homeland. This was the first time Fernando got to visit this beautiful country, and he was deeply touched by the experience. Fernando was also able to teach at a Salvadorian church on Sunday morning and he did an amazing job and made his mother proud!

The final country we visited on our Central American tour was Guatamala. Guatamala is the largest country in the region, and it’s capital (Guatamala City) the largest city in Central America. While there, we spent time in the beautiful historic city called Antigua, and also in the capital. We had the honor of meeting and praying with many of the local pastors where we shared and prayed and strategized together about how we could help them reach Central America for Christ.  After our time in Guatamala, our team left sensing that this was the key spot for a future church planting training center

We left Central America feeling blessed , encouraged, AND STUFFED! (The food was amazing! J ) We are hoping that we can return to Central America soon in order to set up a missions and church planting base.

Finally, I want to once again thank you for supporting and praying for our family and ministry.  It is through your financial support that God provides for our physical needs, and your prayer support that God provides for our spiritual needs!
