Vincent Family May 2019 Missions Update

Vincent  Family   MAY   2019  Ministry  Update!

Greetings from Mexico,

Our family hopes that you and yours enjoyed a very happy Easter. And what a wonderful event Jesus left us to remember Him and celebrate! The resurrection of Jesus is one of the most important and verifiable miracles in the entire Bible.

If Jesus had not risen from the dead, we would not have any hope. But the good news of Easter was shared by the angels on that very first Easter Sunday in front of that empty tomb. He (Jesus) is NOT HERE, HE IS ALIVE!

Our church enjoyed a fabulous Resurrection celebration, and in this update I wanted to tell you all about it! On Easter Weekend, we were blessed to have our largest weekend crowd in the 16 year history of our church. Almost 1600 people attended our three weekend services.

We also had a special children’s event outside on our sports court, complete with a life size empty tomb that the children could walk through! Included in this special kidz zone was energetic music, baloons and facepainting, a short teaching on the true meaning of Easter, and plenty of candy for each child to enjoy!

In the sanctuary, I was blessed to teach from Luke Chapter 24 on the blessings of the Resurrection. The focus on the sermon was why the resurrection is important and relevant to our lives as believers today.

The three blessings of the resurrection that I focused on were, #1- The resurrection reminds us that there is victory and glory on the other side of the crosses (difficulties) of life.  #2- Because Jesus resurrected and ascended into heaven, as Christians, we will too.  Third and finally, the resurrection reminds us that Jesus is alive today. Friends, Jesus is alive and He cares about you. And he reminds us in Resurrection 1:18, “I am He who lives, and was dead,  and behold,  I alive FOREVERMORE!”

Many of you know that over the past year, we have stayed busy working on our sanctuary addition. Well on Easter Weekend we finally celebrated the grand opening of our 3000+ square foot “Upper Room” Patio! (located on top of our sanctuary addition)

This new patio is built for fellowship and designed to be a comfortable quiet place for God’s people to grab a coffee or snack, and enjoy some good conversation with their friends. Eventually this patio will be outfitted with a coffee shop, restrooms, and deluxe outdoor patio furniture.

We finished off the weekend with our always popular family Easter pictures. We are blessed to have several talented photographers in our church who bless our church families with stylish Easter photos. We post these photos on social media for the families to enjoy and then we print them and give away a large photo free to each family the following weekend as a thank you gift. I was blessed to once again have my parents, Mark and Diane join our family and Mitch’s family for our annual Vincent Family Easter Photo.

We are so thankful for each one of you our precious ministry partners! It is through your prayers that God meets our spiritual needs, and it is through your financial giving, that God provides for our physical needs! We feel honored and blessed to serve the Lord together with you in the ripe mission fields of Mexico!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)
