Vincent Family May 2018 Missions Update

Greetings from Mexico,

With Mother’s Day coming up soon, I wanted to begin our update by thanking all of the mother’s (including my own mom Diane) for working so hard on raising children! I also wanted to honor the wonderful wife (and mother) that God has placed in our family Sarah!

Sarah had a busy month in April with several teaching opportunities! Sarah began the month by sharing at one of our weekly Spanish women’s studies. It always blows me away at how well Sarah speaks Spanish. (And makes me a bit jealous, as I still butcher my way through!) Sarah speaks and teaches in Spanish so well, that many people believe she is Mexican.

Today, Sarah oversees all of the women’s ministries at our church, but as she shared in this women’s study, I was reminded way back to the early years of our ministry when Sarah  began our first women’s study ! Way back in 2004, I was blessed to watch the children and babies, while Sarah taught the ladies in our cute tiny original building.

Also in April, Sarah also had the opportunity to travel to Mazatlan to visit one of our church plants and teach at their very first women’s conference. The conference theme was “In the Center” and the ladies were encouraged to keep Jesus at the center of everything they say and do. Sarah’s teaching was taken from Ephesians Chapter 1 and reminded the ladies of the glorious promises of God!

With over 100 ladies in attendance, Sarah was blessed to meet and minister to the new ladies in this church plant. A special highlight for her was spending  time with several of our church planting wives who were also in attendance. Sarah was also able to spend several days with Tania Domingo. Tania (and her husband Pastor Juan) were the pioneering missionaries who over 30 years ago began the Calvary and Horizonte movements here in Mexico.

Normally I (Mike) get to do most of the traveling to visit our church plants, but for this trip our roles were reversed. Sarah has been so faithful and encouraging to allow me to fulfill the calling that God has given me, it was a blessing to see her get to do the same.

I am so blessed that God has given me Sarah not only as my partner and the mother of my children, but my friend. She has hung in there through the thick and thin of life on the mission field, and has been an amazing mother to our children Grace and Daniel! To Sarah (and all of the mothers reading this update) thank you for all you do and Happy (Early) Mother’s Day!

Finally, I want to thank you for partnering with us here on the mission field of Mexico. It is through your prayers that God meets our spiritual needs, and through your financial giving that God meets our physical needs. Thank you so much!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel
