Greetings friends and family!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this update on what God has been doing.
Because of quarantine the past few months everything was put on hold for a bit. It was a period of waiting and praying for God’s wisdom and direction concerning the future, especially concerning moving to the Middle East. Thankfully was still able to be involved in ministry initially through technology and then eventually in person observing social distancing. I have been grateful for this season, which has not been nearly as busy as usual. It has allowed me more time to seek the Lord and to study His Word and also allowed me to look back on my trip to the Middle East and to think on all I learned and saw. In addition it also gave me more time to pray about moving there.
However, suddenly this month things began to shift and God has opened several doors. I have been blessed by several new opportunities for ministry especially in teaching. I have been given the privilege to co-lead and teach the high-school guys of Calvary Chapel Saving Grace. Every week on Tuesdays we have been going through 2 Timothy which has been amazing. Last week I taught on 2 Timothy 2:14-19. One of the main things we discussed was about how we all must be diligent to rightly divide the word of truth and when we are faithful to study and understand God’s word in its context we have no need to be ashamed. I am so grateful to grow in the study and teaching of God’s word. To grow in diligence in the area of studying and understanding God’s word. So that I can be faithful to rightly divide the word of truth and teach it unashamed. In addition to teaching on Tuesdays I was put into a rotation of guys asked to teach morning devotions at the church. So far I have taught three morning devotions on Ephesians which you can watch on Calvary Chapel Saving Grace’s Facebook page.
But that isn’t all. God has also allowed myself and the other interns to resume our internship class in person with Pastor Trent. So each week all of us interns do a fifteen minute teaching on the book of James. Then we have a two hour class going through the book of Acts. Next month I will be assisting another pastor and one other intern in teaching the book of Hebrews to a Bible College in the 10/40 window over Skype. This is an amazing opportunity because this is what I hope to do one day in the Middle East. To teach nationals the Word of God so that they may be equipped to reach their own people with the gospel. I am so excited for these opportunities to further grow in teaching God’s word and to prepare for the future. Speaking of the future I wanted to update you on my plans to move to the Middle East. As many of you know I visited the Middle East in February for a vision tour to see if God was calling me to move there for ministry. Afterwards I felt God was indeed calling me there so I was taking the first steps to prepare for this. I had a job lined up so I could further save up money for moving to the Middle East. I was also researching schools for learning Arabic, housing, transportation, Visas, insurance, ect. All to prepare to move. However when the quarantine initially began it postponed my plans. Now I am again working on plans to move. I have been researching to compile information for moving. Once I have the necessary information the pastors of Saving Grace World Missions will help me to create a plan, a budget and a timeline for moving to the Middle East. The biggest task is raising my monthly financial support in order to move. I hope to have the necessary support sometime early next year if the Lord wills.
I am so grateful how the Lord has been working and how He has been answering many of my prayers. Please be praying for God to provide financial support so I can be sent out and for wisdom as we create a budget and timeline for moving to the Middle East. Thank you all so much for your prayers, your support, and your encouragement. God bless you all.
In Christ Jesus,
- For the opportunity to Co-teach the Bible College class
- For the opportunity to lead and teach the Highschool guys of Saving Grace
- Financial Support to move to The Middle East
- Wisdom and God’s guidance in planning
- I broke my finger in May so prayer for complete healing and that I won’t lose mobility.
