DICIEMBRE 2024
OUR FAMILY

This month always brings many emotions and hearts full of gratitude for birthday celebrations in the family;
On the 7th my beloved mother-in-law,
On the 12th we celebrated my 46th birthday, wow, I feel so blessed.
On the 17th my sister Conchita turned 50, her whole life is a beautiful miracle, it reminds me of God’s faithfulness, the doctors said that she would only live until she was 15, our God has allowed her to live and despite her mental retardation she enjoys of the life that God gives you.
Our son Azaff continues with his anticonvulsant treatment, but much better, thank God.
My beloved husband, Miguel, continues working at the locksmith and at the Mission to continue paying for our son’s and my sister’s medications.
We continue doing school at home.
OUR MINISTRY
This month always represents a lot of work, as a family we distribute clothes, food, blankets, jackets and whatever we have in the community where we live. December is long awaited by the girls at home, because of the celebrations it brings, the groups of people who visit, friends and family make this time so long awaited. This last month of the year has been challenging for everyone in the household. The second week of December, Juan Carlos got sick. On December 22, we took him to the emergency room at the general hospital in Ensenada. He was hospitalized for 9 days. He got worse, having respiratory problems. They had to intubate him to help him breathe. Today from the beginning the doctors told my husband Miguel not to leave the hospital because Juan Carlos could die at any moment, despite his efforts Juan Carlos died on 12/31/2024.
While he was conscious and awake he always maintained the smile that always characterized him.
Today my husband wrote about the ministry of Juan Carlos.
On 03/08/1979 in the city of Mexicali, Baja California, I am sure that God smiled when he put Juan Carlos into this world and it was that same smile that was forever captured on the face of that then child but that would never be erased by the rest of his life, that same smile would change hundreds of lives.
At the age of 4 he was abandoned at a red cross in Mexicali with severe hyperthermia and it was from that moment on that he was diagnosed with infantile cerebral palsy. We do not know if it was due to hyperthermia or not but we do know that everything It was part of God’s masterpiece
On 03/16/1990, at the age of 11, Juan Carlos arrived at this mission home for children to begin his ministry and fulfill the call that God gave him. Today he entered for rehabilitation reasons, but we already knew that the ones rehabilitated would be us. .
On 12/31/2024 today at 4:10 a.m. at the age of 45, God decided that it was time to take Juan Carlos home, thus ending a life ministry of 34 years, I am sure that it will remain in the memories and hearts of all of us forever.
It was 34 years that God gave us the privilege and honor of living together, loving, crying, smiling and learning from Juan, hello, a man of God who without saying a single word won more souls for God than you and me, who despite the pain or discomfort due to the state of his body, he was always willing to give you a smile, thus changing your day and consequently your life.
Psalms 116:15
Dear is the death of his saints in the sight of Jehovah.
Matthew 25:23
His master said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant; You have been faithful over a few things I will put you over many things; enter into the joy of your lord.
2 Timothy 4:7 and 8
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Community Engagement and Support
We organized community outreach 3 times a year and just before Christmas is the one everyone is waiting for: we bought some special needs and friends and family send or bring clothes, blanquets, shoes, food, etc, etc, people always are so thankful for any support we can give them.
This year we work together with the new pastor and wife from the ejido to do the outreach, they where so grateful to be part of this.
Future Goals
Looking ahead, we had ambitious plans to further enhance the quality of life for the children at the orphanage. We are praying for a big building equipated with everything we need to do the therapies with all our mission kids at the same time, caminadoras, elipticas, ligas, pesas, mesas de masage y terapia, tanques o tinas de hidromasage, area para las diferentes terapias; Lenguaje, Ocupacional, Fisica, tanque, deporte, pared para escalar, etc, tenemos tantas ideas despues de todas las terapias que recibio nuestro hijo Azaff por 3 años en CRIT Tijuana, sabemos que nada es imposible para Dios y si El así lo permite, será posible, y si no, descansamos en las puertas que el abre y también por las que cierra.
WE CELEBRATE
Karinas birthday on December 13, she turned 41 years old, she wanted to look like Cinderella, we did everything to made her day so special, she was so happy and grateful with all her Mission mommas, that make her cake, special food, dessert, piñata etc
Christmas was full of joy with the Boothby and White family from Edgewater Christian Fellowship at the Mission.
Applegate Christian Fellowship bring all the Christmas presents for the kids like every year for more that 37 years, what a blessing they have been always.
Conclusion
The journey of all our staff single and families at home for disabled children is a profound example of what compassion and dedication can achieve. Their unwavering commitment to improving the lives of these children has led to significant positive changes. As we continue to support and celebrate their efforts, we are reminded of the incredible impact that every act of love can have on their lives and the community in which we live. Together we can help build a better world for these children who deserve the best from all of us.
No matter what our work is each day at home, in the end we always come to the conclusion that we are the most blessed by the children we were called to serve.
