Over the past month, I have been able to finish the time we spent in Mexico with the Calvary School of Missions, and return home to many wonderful opportunities. Since getting back, I have been able to continue to be a part of teaching the morning devotions via facebook live with Calvary Chapel Saving Grace, as well as being able to co-teach a Skype class on the book of Hebrews to a country in the 10/40 window. God has been doing great things and I am very excited for what is to come.
Being back has been a bit of an adjustment, after having been immersed in a 6 week program where I was able to lead 12 students in many different aspects, from helping them send out their own weekly updates, to driving them to and from outreaches as needed, to now being back home where I no longer have people depending on me like the students were, and having to go out intentionally looking for people to be able to minister to. Let me say, however, that this has been a blessing in itself. I have found that God really is working in me to continue to grow in this area of pastoral ministry, which is to minister to the flock; to go out and look for those that need shepherding and give them food, which is the Word of God. Aside from that, the time I now spend in the Word in order to study for either the next morning devo, or the next Bible class, has also been another thing that has become very dear to me. I have the privilege to study the Word of God in order to be used by God to feed His sheep, and that is so humbling.
Before leaving to Mexico, I was offered the opportunity to co-teach my first Bible class, we would be going through the book of Hebrews, so while I was in Mexico I was studying the book of Hebrews, so that I could be equipped to teach the class. The class is given through Skype with a translator and it is given to students in a country right in the 10/40 window. This to me has been such a gift and a joy that I am able to be used by God to equip students in the 10/40 in a time when we can’t be with them in person. God has answered my prayers to be able to receive more opportunities to teach! Thank you all for coming alongside me in prayer over opportunities to continue to do the work of the ministry.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this, I hope that it has blessed you and excited you about the gospel going out to the ends of the earth. Now that I am back, I don’t want to lose momentum in moving to the Middle East. My vision is to gather a team of people who feel called to be involved in missions, but aren’t necessarily called to move overseas. I would love to extend an invitation to you to become a part of a care team. My heart is to have a team of people who want to partake of the harvest through prayer and support. There is also a need for people who feel called to partner financially with a missionary; it takes funds to be able to move overseas and since being laid off, those are funds that I do not have. I will be putting together a rough budget of what it would take to move my life overseas, and if you feel called to partner with me financially, then feel free to click on the “Become a Financial Parter” button bellow. Together we can bring the gospel to those who have never been able to hear.
I really do desire to hear from you and to be able to pray for you, so if you have any need, or would like to hear more about my heart and the call God has placed on my life, don’t hesitate to reach out to me, leave a comment.
