Recently, I had the privilege of travelling to a very lush and green, central Mexico, with church planter Jose Luis “Tony” Areyzaga. He has completed the internship program at Calvary Chapel Rosarito, as well as the Church Planting School. He was one of the first brothers I met here at CCR(Calvary Chapel Rosarito) this Summer.
Morelia, Michoacán is a beautiful and colonial city of 1.6 million people. It is located in between Mexico City and Guadalajara, Jalisco. It’s known for its Spanish colonial aqueducts, as well as the Monarch butterfly migration in the Fall.
How does God call someone to such a specific place? Tony and the other church planters will have similar stories, but it is basically born out of answered prayer and expecting God to speak. Tony’s call is so amazing, I hope to interview him and post it soon!
This particular visit is both business and pleasure. The church planting team walked and drove around town praying and talking to folks. There are two special times that everyone was asked to seek God for a prophetic word or image for the church planter. This trip provided encouragement and confirmation. In the meantime, enjoy the photos!
Thank you for all your prayers and support enjoy the fruit God is working with you & us!
