” The spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the lord hath anointed me to preach good tiding unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;” (Isaiah 61:1)
Greetings from our church!
We appreciate your prayers, support and thank you for being a partner in the furtherance of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is really awesome, incredible and worthy of praise. God is faithful and cares about all our troubles. Last week, many believers in my state were persecuted by the political leaders that are against Christians, but we were safe! Praise the Lord! The month of January was a blessed month for us. God opened the door to two new villages where we were able to share the Good News and distributed 100 New Testaments.
God Opened the Door to A New Village
Praise God for the awesome opportunity to share His Word in a new village- where more than 50 people sat together, worshiped and listened to the Word of God.
This village is almost 30km (18 miles) from my village and because the roads are not good it takes more than one hour to reach it. A lady who lives in this village is a believer and she continually comes to our church fellowship. She invited us to her home and she called all her neighbors together to join us while we worshiped and shared the Good News with them. Then, my friend shared their testimony and it touched the heart of 2 people who have now started to come to our fellowship with her.
After worshiping and sharing the Word of God, we all prayed about their trials and distributed New Testaments in their language. Most of the ladies are illiterate, but their kids know how to read, so they took the New Testaments from us and gave them to their kids for them to read to them and their family. Most of the men are living in another part of the country for job reasons because in my state there are little opportunities for jobs. That is why 90% of the people who attend our fellowship are ladies. The woman, who invited us, is very poor and her husband has eye problems. He is living in another part of the country and searching for a job. Praise to Jesus, who saved her life!
Children Hard at Work

I want to share about a little boy named Rajesh*, who is 14 years old. He is Rani’s* son, whom I mentioned above. Although he is 14, he looks like he is 8. At first, he did not like to study and due to his parents being poor, Rajesh was sent to a government school where he tried to run away. Soon after, his parents put him in the bike repair center to learn repairing, in my village. When I went to the shop to repair my bike I was surprised when I saw him, because I recognized him as he started to make tea for me. I knew he had come to the fellowship a couple of times with his mom. He sleeps in the shop alone and cooks food for himself inside the shop.
After drinking the tasty tea he made for me, we start ed to talk and he told me he was not interested in studying. My friend and I tried to encouraged him but he was resistant. Then, I told him, “Don’t sleep alone in the shop, you can come to my home to sleep.” His mom agreed to it as well. So, he began coming to my home and every night my family, his mom and I prayed for him to have a desire to study. My niece, who is living with us and is studying in 3rd grade, said to him, “Please come to my school for one day to see my friends?” and Rajesh agreed to go. When he came back from school, I then asked him how it went. Rajesh mentioned how great it was and I then asked him again if he would like to study. To my surprise, he said yes! Then, I called his parents and they were so happy they started to praise God. Rajesh has now been going to school for a month. We were able to get him admitted in the 4th grade. Thanks to our Lord who saved his life and took him out of darkness. So many kids here are working in restaurants, garages and rag picking. When they grow up, a lot of them will become drunks, gangsters, drug traffickers, etc.
Great Opportunity to Reach One More New Village!
Thanks to God, who made a way for an opening to a new village for ministry! A believer in my church invited us to share the Gospel in this village, so my dad and I went. We were able to do worship, share the Word of God, share a testimony, and show a Christian movie, “Jesus”, on the projector where more than 300 people attended. In this village, 99% of the people are illiterate and the kids do not attend school. They spend their days playing in the dirt and later in life start to take drugs. Most husbands here are drunks and beat their wives. The people are malnourished, babies are carrying babies, and they do not have good clothes. Despite all this, they have loving hearts, and they welcomed us with incredible hospitality. They cooked dinner for all of us. When we sat at dinner together with them, they were overjoyed because many people do not like getting near them. Praise God that we were able to show the Jesus Film and a lot of the village people came out to see the movie and three ladies accepted Jesus!

We Started A Bible Study on The Roof!
Praise to God- who has provided an opportunity to start a Bible study in another village as well! In this village, not many people are open to having a Bible study, due to the mass persecution going on here. A man who attends our church fellowship shared how we could start a Bible study on the roof of his home in this village (his home is really small). As we started, only about 2 or 3 people were coming. Soon, after word got out to the people, about 10 to 12 people began to join the Bible study. I began from Genesis 1 and then we just go verse by verse, chapter by chapter. Praise the Lord for this open door and for the people who are wanting to learn from God’s Word.
Praise points:
- Praise God, Who takes care of us even in the midst of persecution.
 - Praise God, Who has been bringing people to faith weekly!
 - Praise God for my neighbor who suffers from mental issues (she was shouting from morning to midnight) but now she is better.

Prayer points:
- Please continue to pray for our safety and my mother’s health.
 - Please pray for the financial need for Rajesh’s school, dress and books. I know our God is a provider and he will provide his needs.
 - Please continue to pray for a new motorcycle or a four wheeler for me. I have had my motorcycle for 5 years, and every month it has new problems, and I have to spend a lot of money on repairs. This bike has been so helpful for me to reach unreached villages, to take paralyzed believers to and from church, to drop Sonja* and Rajesh off at their school, to bring groceries and so many other things.
 - Please continue to pray for 3 of the villagers in my church. Their villages are being persecuted and people are trying to make them leave their homes because of their faith in Christ.

God bless all of you and thanks for your partnership in the Gospel,
Pastor 11*
