We have a Crisis!

Hello again Friends and Family!

Yay! We have made it to the halfway point of our 6 week school! This last week we had the privilege of learning from Pastor Rob Douglass who shared all about culture, the 10/40 window, unreached, worldview, various religions, and more! Some things that really stood out to us from him classes include:

  • That 1 in every 200,000 Christians become missionaries to an unreached country.
  • There are 54,000 Evangelical Christians for every 1 unreached people group.
  • There is 1.9 billion Muslims worldwide and 86% of them are unreached.
  • There is 1.18 billion Hindus worldwide and 92% of them are unreached.
  • There is 500 million Buddhist worldwide and 78% of them are unreached.

While this may be discouraging and seem like an impossible task, it is a sobering reality and we need to be praying for laborers to go into this plentiful harvest. However, the good news is that God has given the Church the resources necessary to reach the world with the gospel. The Church has roughly 3,000 times the financial resources and 9,000 times the manpower needed to finish the Great Commission! So let’s be in prayer that the church would realize the crisis at hand and wake up to the commission given by Jesus!

Some other things that we did this week include various outreaches helping local Calvary Chapel churches. We had an amazing time ministering to many people! I (Olivia) got to help out a lot in children’s ministry and Nathanael got to help out with leading the outreaches and worship! Below are some pictures of the outreaches.

Prayer requests:

    • Please pray for us as we seek Gods will for our future.
    • Please continue to pray for us as we serve here in Mexico for the next 3 weeks.
    • Please continue to pray that God would provide the finances for the tuition for CSOM.
    • Please continue to pray for strengthening in our marriage.

Please also send us any prayer requests you may have, we would love to be praying for you guys as well!

Till The Last One Knows,

Nathanael and Olivia Douglass
