Fall is here

Hello friends and family,

Well, fall is here and we are grateful for the cooler weather!  Summer was a blast here with the kids, we were able to take all 30 kids from our after school program “Amigos del Rey,” (friends of the King), to a water park near Ensenada! Only one child knew how to swim, it was crazy, but fun also. It was a day that these kids will remember for a very long time. For some, it was their first time ever in a pool.

We are back in the swing of things for the new school year. The kids need school uniforms and shoes. We are working on getting them all school shoes, God continues to bless these kids–He loves them so much and provides for all of their needs.

This Saturday our church body is giving a surprise wedding for Suzette, a young married girl who grew up in our congregation who is battling Leukemia. She was given her last chemo. treatment and has a 20% chance to live. She is married to Alex legally, but never had her dream wedding. Well, we are giving it to her and I am so blessed to see the congregation coming together to give of their time and money to make this happen.

We recently had an outreach for the local police and fire-fighters of Tijuana. We decided to bless them with a prime rib dinner as a thank you for all they do for the community. Calvary Chapel San Juan Capistrano funded this event and served at it as well. We showed the movie “Courageous,” and many hands were raised to receive Jesus after the gospel message was given. Prayerfullly, this is the beginning of something big, as the Tijuana chief of police, when asked what their biggest need is, responded with “Spiritual.” Lord willing, we would like to start a chaplain training program to help the Tijuana police and fire dept.

Mexican Independence Day was on Sept. 15th. and we had a huge party here at the church to celebrate! It was such a wonderful event with the entire church body! We ate Pozole (a delicious meal), had games for the kids, a costume contest, and we ended the night in prayer for the country of Mexico. It all ended at about 1:30 a.m.! God bless Mexico!!

PRAYER REQUESTS:

PRAISE REPORT:  God blessed me with a new car!! A 1998 Toyota Rav4. It is in excellent condition and I am thankful to my Lord for His provisions!

2.  for a miraculous healing for Suzette, and for her family to stay grounded and grow stronger in their faith.

3.  for the chaplaincy program for the local police and fire-fighters of Tijuana; men to give of their time to serve here, and men to do training in this area.

4.  For Federico Acosta and his wife Nena as they embark on a new journey as Senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Pedregales. Pray that their needs as a family would be met with an increase in his salary.

4. for all of our spiritual and physical needs here to continue to be met. I am in continual awe of how God supplies for all of our needs as a church and personally.  PRAISE HIM!
