Hola from beautiful Tijuana Baja CA. It has been too long since writing my last newsletter!
Summer started with a bang here at Calvary Chapel Pedregales with our annual V.B.S. in JunCalvary Chapel Shoreline came again and supported us this summer funding the project. We averaged about 100 kids per day, for 5 days. The theme was “Agency D3”–Discover, Decide, Defend. It was a beautiful and fun way of presenting the gospel and then deciding what to do with all the evidence collected throughout the week of who Jesus was. It was a huge success, and the bretheren from Shoreline were awesome! They helped tremendously with the kids and even had time to build 6 picnic tables for our patio, a closet in Deanna’s house, and various other projects around the church. We are blessed to call them friends and pray that they will be back again next year.
Rosemary and Christina are growing up! I homeschooled them most of their lives, and they have grown into beautiful young ladies who love Jesus and serve him with all their heart. Rosemary is driving now, and has a heart for Missions. She is serving now short term in Guadalajara and will begin Bible College in Ensenada in August.
Pastor Federico and his family lives with us here, and Federico will soon be ordained as Senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Pedregales and we are excited for this and will pray for this beautiful family as they take this step of faith and serve the Lord full time.
I had a milestone birthday this year–I can’t believe that I am 50 years old! I don’t know where the time has gone, but it’s been a lovely 50 with almost 20 of them serving Jesus here in Tijuana.
