3.5 Billion people.

Hey friends and family we are officially done with week one of Csom, we are on to week two!! Thank you guys for your support and prayers!

Most of my childhood, I was told you will miss the days where you had no responsibilities and you were just a kid. Well, they were right. Being here in Mexico has been an absolute blessing. We’ve been able to minister to God’s children and see the hearts of His people be open to receiving Him. But it hasn’t been easy. I left all my responsibilities in Arizona to learn about my calling and purpose through Christ. I left my apartment, my family, my job, my friends, and more in order to be here to serve the Lord wholeheartedly. “If anyone comes to me and does not hate their father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters – yes, even their own life- such a person cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:26)

What is our purpose? Finding our purpose is the hardest thing each of us have either figured out or are still figuring out everyday. Being a Christian has been, and will not be, easy. While studying the book of Romans, I have been meditating on the words that Luke wrote. One verse that has stuck on my heart is “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:14-15. These verses really make me think about the 3.5 billion people and 7,000 unreached people groups. How can the unreached hear about Christ when there isn’t anyone telling them about Christ? We are comfortable telling people in our home towns about Christ because it’s easy. It makes me think, “What if you and I were a part of the 3.5 billion, wouldn’t we wanna be told about God, the one who sent down His only Son to die so that we may live?”

This Sunday we attended Calvary Chapel Rosarito for church where Pastor Mike taught on the book of Mark chapter 6.  We learned about John the baptists death and studied his life. John the baptist lived his life for the Lord, but he was not a “Christian”—he fell under the old covenant. John the baptist lived a very fruitful life unto the Lord until the day he died. We all have one life to live, and one goal. Our goal is to fulfill the great commission and to go and make disciples of all nations. Are you living a life you would want your children and grandchildren to follow? Now this doesn’t mean life will be easy. Christians suffer the same as non-believers. Yet we have a hope and a future with Christ. We have the hope and the joy of being with Him again once we die and are reunited for eternity. John 16:33 is a great verse to hold near your heart. “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble but take heart!i have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
