“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give hope and a future”. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Since arriving in Mexico I have been seeking the Lord laying down my life in surrender to Him and learning how to trust what the Lord has planned for my life. God has been moving here in Mexico and not just in my heart but the hearts of my fellow teammates.
I met this amazing kid here at the Connections compound: his smile brings such light into the Connections house. His parents are staff here at the Connections house, so he spends a lot of his time challenging me to soccer beacuse he wins everytime! Playing soccer gives me the blessing of telling him about the gospel. He has such a bright light and love for people. It is amazing to see how the Lord works in His children.
We are going to be going through the book of Acts learning about what God’s calling is for His people and what the Great Commision for His people is. I have been going through the book of Luke in my morning devotions learing about how God sent His Son into the world and how Jesus is the greatest example of how we should live. An amazing comfort while going through the book of Luke is knowing that Jesus went throught the same thing that you and I are going through in our lives today.
