SGWM MARCH 2025 PRAYER UPDATE

AFRICA
Matthew and Noelle Harris – Uganda
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Thank you so much for your continual love and support.

This month, we can praise God that:
·   After three long years, the pastors and church leaders finished their last week of Bible school!
·   God is sending an intern named Morgan Landrey to live and work with us for two months!
·   A wonderful new church was just built in a rural area of the north by the father of a wonderful friend of mine who is a general in the Ugandan military.

This month, please pray with us that:
·   God will bless the churches represented by the 35 church leaders who have just finished their last week of classes with the pastoral school of discipleship.
·   Pray that their churches will be fruitful in the Lord and abounding with good works that are worthy of the name of our Lord Jesus.
·   God will bless Morgan’s time with us that she will learn what God has sent her here to learn and accomplish what He has sent her here to do.
·   God would heal my legs. (I broke the navicular bone in my left foot by stepping into a hole I didn’t see, and my right leg was mauled severely by a dog)

I’m headed back to South Asia for the next 2 months. I’ll be leading a small team of pastors and faithful servants.
We will be holding a 2 day youth conference in the north, another 3 day conference and graduation in an area that SGWM has not been able to visit for the past 6 years due to heavy persecution.
We will be going to an area never visited by SGWM before in order to witness the work going on there and to encourage our workers. After this, we will be headed to another area where a new work has started about a year ago. The worker there has recently be brought on as a SGWM worker. God has really been blessing this work and it’s a joy to go there and witness what the Lord is doing.
Then we are headed to an area where SGWM has recently completed construction on a new facility that houses one of our CBI’s. There we will be teaching a block class through one of the books of the Bible and doing a week long discipleship meeting with former graduates. We will be focusing on what it means to be a pastor.
Finally we will head out for a few weeks to be with a newly married couple. They are also engaged in a new-ish work. Our time there will be spent on discipleship, coming alongside them to encourage and strengthen them in the ministry God has called them too.
The over arching theme God has placed on my heart for this trip is the importance of God’s Word and serving Him faithfully, in the way He would have us serve Him.
As I leave the South Asia, I will stop over in Germany for a short stay. I will be revisiting many people who were in our church, when we lived in Leutershausen, to catch up with them. One of the members of our church, Calvary Chapel Ansbach, recently got married. He’s a young man that we consider to be part of our family, so I will spend time with him, meet his wife and pour into them for 4 days.
Please pray for God’s mercy & grace, as well as the presence of His Spirit to lead and guide as we are engaged in a great work in His name. Pray that God would bless each and everyday with a greater blessing than He blessed the day before.

Thank you for your prayers.
God bless,

·   Praise the Lord, He is leading the people of our church forward in faith and in the Word.

Prayer Requests
·   In the coming days, there are many types of Hindu festivals in our area. May God protect our family and Christian brothers and sisters.
·   There are elections in the coming months. Pray that God will give us a government that allows us to worship and pray in peace, and pray that no law will be made against spreading the Good News.
·   We are planning to do several types of outreach in the coming months. Please pray that God will open the door to a village that has not heard the Good News yet.
·   A pastor from the states in coming soon to visit, which will be the first time in our area. Pray that God will protect him and that God will keep us safe, too.

·   Two students from my church are ready to go to Bible school. Please pray that there will be no hindrance to them going, before the next semester. The last time I sent a student to Bible school, his parents called the police.
