Vincent Family June 2025 Missions Update

Greetings from Mexico. We had a wonderful month of May here in Mexico, but in this update I wanted to share with you a big change in our extended family and ministry!

Nine years ago I received a phone call from my brother Mitch who had been serving in Hawaii with Teen Challenge for many years. Mitch and his wife Joy were sensing a change in their ministry calling and they asked if they could move to Mexico with us and join our church’s full time missionary staff.

I enthusiastically invited them and for the past nine years Mitch and Joy have served faithfully at our church along with their three precious children (My nieces and nephew) Faith, Justice, and Hope!

Mitch’s family has served in so many ministries over the years it’s almost impossible to recount. (But I will try) Joy has served as a women’s ministry leader, a mission’s trip leader, a greeter, the kettle corn assistant, and has served on our church planting class staff.

Mitch has served as a Sunday School teacher, the (Mexican) Kettle Master, a church planting course leader, and a worship leader. Some of my greatest memories over the past nine years are being up on stage and leading worship together. Mitch always sang with passion and skill, and he was the favorite worship singer for many in our congregation.

Although I will miss Mitch and Joy, I might miss my nephew and nieces the most. At nearly the exact time that my children had grown up and started college, God sent a new batch of younger Vincent’s that I could love and enjoy.

It was a great blessing to see Mitch’s children learn Spanish, profess faith and get baptized, make new friends, and thrive at the church. I made sure we had a special final “CRAZY UNCLE DAY” where I took them to the carnival where we made some final lasting memories together.

As I reflected back this week on our time together, one word kept coming into my mind, Thankfulness. I am thankful that God gave me nine close years with my brother Mitch and his family, and I am thankful to the Lord for sending them to serve with us at Calvary Rosarito. When I think of Mitch and Joy, I am reminded of the words of our Lord Jesus found in Matthew 25:23, “Well done good and faithful servants!”

I will miss Mitch and Joy and their family, as they were a great blessing to me and the ministry here. But I do believe that this move to Missouri is a good move and God’s will for their family. Joy’s family (the Guasti’s) all live there and Mitch and Joy have had the privilege of buying several income earning properties. Please keep them in your prayers as they make this cross country move at the time of the writing of this letter.

On another note, many of you were praying for my court case in May. Just a few weeks ago, I went back to the local Criminal court to try and get the frivolous lawsuit thrown out over the property South of the church that we legally purchased several years ago. When I arrived for the court case that morning, I received some fantastic news. WE WON!!!! Thanks to the good Lord and thanks to your prayers, a higher court sided with us and Lord willing this will bring an end to the criminal side of things. Regarding the lawsuits, there is still work to do, so please pray we see God’s favor in the CIVIL court which is the court with the final say over the property.

Finally, I want to thank you once again for your partnership with us in the ripe mission fields of Mexico. It is through your prayers that God meet’s our spiritual needs, and through your financial partnership that God meet’s our physical needs. I love you and am praying for you.

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel
