At first glance this past month seemed like it might be calm and orderly…but it was not! Although my main goal is to get trained up to GO to the 10/40 Window, this month the 10/40 Window came to us! Between ministering to Muslims, being up all night with Ukrainians, and serving at a church in Watts, LA, I have had an amazing month!
Ukraine and her refugees have been on all of our hearts. When Saving Grace got the call that Calvary San Diego needed help, a few of us jumped in the van and headed down early Monday morning. We arrived to find a group of hard-working, sleep-deprived and worn out staff serving an ever revolving door of refugees fresh from the Mexican border. This is not an issue that is going away any time soon, and it was truly amazing to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Our main job was to do all the things that did not require us to speak Russian. We cooked, cleaned, managed showers, and handled donations. We carried on through the next three days working on minimal down-time, but God was so good and we were full of energy, despite sleeping on a floor in a pastor’s office! Now that I’m home, I can’t believe we were able to keep going for so long. It was definitely the strength of the Lord that we were running on because I’ve never been awake so long in one stretch!

Watts
Hope Central Watts is a church in the heart of Watts, LA. A team of us were able to go out and “take over” the church for two weeks to give the servants there a break to rest and hear the Word, rather than always leading.

Ministering to Muslims.
It’s been a few years now since Jesus has laid the Muslim world on my heart. My prayer is that I can be a vessel used by Him to bring His Light into some of the darkest places on the earth. God created these people, loves them, and wants them. Yes, they can seem scary with their religion being a web of lies and deceit that cause them to live in a cycle of hate, but they are created and loved by God.
Thank you so much for your prayers: the Voice of the Refugee’s Women’s day was a success! It was amazing to get to meet and hang out with so many Muslims at once, and in a church, no less! There is a deep yearning in me to take the Gospel to these women in their home countries, but that starts here, where they are now! I have the opportunity to get to know some more ladies outside of this event. I’ve been texting with one who would like to meet up in the near future, as well as making connections with another family. Please be praying for the Lord to work through this and eventually bring them to salvation.
Currently we are in the month of Ramadan (a month long Muslim holiday). It is during this time that people, even barely-practicing Muslims, feel more spiritual and may be open to conversations about their religion. This can lead to probing questions that we pray will get them to rethink their worldview, and point them to Jesus. Islam is so deceitful in the way it pulls people in and keeps them locked under legalism and death. It is truly a miracle when someone finds Jesus from within this culture-and that is what we’re praying for! Please pray for the Muslims in your community, that Jesus would reveal Himself to them to bring them into His Kingdom. We want to make heaven crowded, and to do that we’re working on going to the ends of the earth!
Two Weeks Out:
I’m just two weeks away from boarding a plane into the 10/40 Window! This Vision Tour is especially exciting because it is heading into a nation of the unreached-and the Muslim unreached no less!
For security reasons I’m not saying which country we’ll be in online. I need to be careful not to put future ministry at risk in any way. I’ll be sending out my next update from this country!
Please be praying for:
-clarity in what the Lord wants me to do in the near future in regards to this country
-spiritual warfare that comes with these types of trips
-safety for the team and that we will not put existing work at risk by being there
-that we will be a light and encouragement to those already working there
