Noah’s Ark In Mexico

Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my Soul! While I live I will praise the LORD; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.” (Psalm 146:1-2, NKJV)

As long as live, I will praise the LORD! He is worthy of all the praise I could ever give and so much more. All the opportunities we have had has only given me further reason to praise the Lord. This last week we had another outreach to an orphanage with an amazing group of kids. My good friend Bryan and I were able to talk with one of the older boys named Arturo. We talked about the Bible and then some personal struggles we all have which gave us the chance to pray for Arturo. Then I was able to hang out with the younger kids. And although I didn’t have any deep conversations with them like I did with Arturo, I did get to laugh with them as I showed them how I can make animal noises which they thought was hilarious.

Our team leading the kids in worship

One of the nights we helped teach in the kid’s ministry at a local church. Our group split up to teach the kids in different rooms. One of the School of Missions students, Lili, did an amazing job at teaching the kids and leading them in songs while Bryan and another student played guitar and sang along. One of the most enjoyable moments was when we sang a song about Noah’s Ark. We had the kids sing along and try to do the animals noises. I hid behind Bryan and made animal noises. They couldn’t figure out where the sounds were coming from until the end of the song when I jumped out and showed them it was me. They were so engaged trying to figure out where the noises came from. Who knew that all those years of practicing farm animal noises would be used for the furtherance of the gospel. We also got to spend a few hours installing brick steps for a family that allows them to walk up and down the hill without slipping. It was great to do some manual labor with the team and help create a safer path for the family.

Brian and me preparing to install steps

God has blessed us every single day of our school. In our classes we have deepened our understanding of the Word of God and been further prepared to be full time missionaries. In the outreaches and events we have been able to use the giftings God has given us in order to serve the Lord and minister to people with the love of Christ. Then in our own times of prayer, fellowship and worship together our team has been able to encourage one another and stir one another up to serve the Lord. It truly has been one of the best times of my life knowing that I am in the will of God as I seek Him, serve Him and continue to draw near to Him. I once again want to thank you all! I thank you for taking the time to read this update, for your support, and most importantly your prayers. Without the family of God and all those who are partnering with me in the work of the gospel, I wouldn’t be here. Nor would I be able to do an internship with Saving Grace following the school or go into fulltime missions when the time comes. All who partner with me are equal partners in the work of the gospel. God has just chosen that I be among the many that are to be sent out while some are told to stay. So whether you support me in reading these updates, or financially, or if you intercede for me in prayer, I thank you and I thank God for you. I make it my aim to keep you continuously in prayer and I would greatly appreciate it if you would be praying for me as well. Thank you so much for all your love and your prayers. God bless.

Prayer Requests

  • For the Lord to reveal to my friends here at the school what He has for them next immediately following the school.
  • That I would be ready to start my internship following the school and be further prepared to serve the Lord and be further sanctified.
  • Further guidance on where God wants me after my internship and provision during that time as well as when I go out as a missionary.
