Vincent Family April 2022 Missions Update

Greetings from Mexico,

This past month I was so blessed as March was packed full of church planting adventures.  The month began with our church plant in Mazatlan hosting their annual church planting conference! (Sadly I missed this conference for the first time, as I was officiating my cousin Steve’s funeral) At that conference, our ministry was blessed to send out our next two 2nd generation church plants!

Calvary Culiacan sent out their sixth church plant, Calvary Patria (Patria means “the Fatherland” in Spanish) in Culiacan! Then next, Calvary Maranatha in Mazatlan sent out their 2nd church plant (Calvary Chapel Stone Island) a bilingual church plant 20 minutes away from their sending church! Each one of these church plants is led by an exciting young couple that graduated from our local schools of church planting!

I was also blessed to visit two of our 1st generation church plants! My church planting assistant (Super) Mario Medrano and I have had plans fall through again and again to visit our 4 year old church plant in Monterrey! (The 3rd largest city in Mexico) This city had the most stringent rules in regards to covid, and because of that, the church was closed down for over 1 ½ years! Throughout that trial, our church planters Pedro and Amparo and their five children, have stayed strong over that time, and praise God we were able to keep supporting them financially to keep them on their feet!

Six months ago, they re-opened the church in a new more strategic location! I traveled with a team of four, and we hosted a conference we titled “the greatest commandment!” This conference was focused on loving God, and loving your neighbors around you! We had over 50 adults in attendance and we were honored to host a Carne Asada BBQ to celebrate with them!

The following night,  I taught their midweek service on my favorite topic, The SENDING HUB!” Our desire for our church plants is to not only plant churches, but plant churches that plant other churches! (We call that,  “A SENDING HUB!”)  The most exciting aspect of this trip was it was all in Spanish! That means that this gringo taught two sermons in Spanish! (And I only butchered a couple words! LOL!)

At the end of the month, we took another ministry team to visit our one year old church plant in Hermosillo Sonora! (The next state over from Baja) On this trip, we flew in a couple of our other church planters and we hosted the first church planting conference in the history of this great state!

The title of the conference was  “GO” and we had a great turnout of local pastors that joined us to learn about God’s heart for church planting! Once again I was blessed to teach in Spanish, and encourage our friends in Hermosillo to reach this entire city of 1 million with Spirit filled Bible teaching churches that plant other churches!

After the conference, our church hosted a church planting dinner with 10 of our church planters that had flown in. I nearly welled up with tears seeing my good friends that had all at one time been my Assistant Pastors, but have now been sent out to the mission field and are planting churches and encouraging other pastors.

On Sunday, I was blessed to teach at Calvary Hermosillo.  It was an amazing experience to see the growing congregation in action, along with the team of 6 servants that we sent here.  We ended the day hosting another all you can eat BBQ, and the fellowship was so special, that  we didn’t get out of the church until after 3pm!

You’ve probably noticed that I love talking about the great work that God is doing here through church planting. But the reason I write about it so often is because all of this is YOUR SPIRITUAL FRUIT!  As Paul the Apostle wrote in 1st Corinthians 3:6, “I planted, Apolos watered, and God gave the increase!” This verse is a reminder that together, we are separate but equal partners in the ripe harvest fields of the Lord! We love you, are praying for you,  and thank God for you!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel

Vincent Family March 2022 Missions Update

Greetings from Mexico,

This past month was a busy one for me and the ministry! In February, I was blessed to travel and visit 6 of our ministry partners and update them on the great work that the Lord is doing here in Mexico! At the beginning of the month, I traveled up to central California to visit our friends at Calvary Nexus in Camarillo, Anthem chapel in Goleta, and Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara!

Later on, in the middle of the month I got to travel with my best friend (and wife) Sarah to Florida to visit our church plant, the Rock Calvary and our church planters Aaron and Robbyn Smith in Punta Gorda Florida! Finally,  at the end of the month I traveled up to my home town of Orange County and visited CCWestgrove in Garden Grove, and Living Way Christian fellowship in Fontana!

Each one of these six churches are partners with our ministry in church planting, and many of them support our family as their missionaries as well. Visiting these churches and pastors reminded me of the great partnership we have with not only churches, but with precious friends like you that allow us to serve full time here on the mission field of Mexico!

Sadly our extended family suffered a tragic loss this month as well. My cousin Steve Wilson was always my favorite cousin growing up as we were not only the same age, but we had much of the same interests! It was always a child hood highlight when our family made the long drive north over the grapevine to visit our cousins that lived in Shafter!

Later on, my cousin Steve played electric guitar in Mine and Mitch’s Christian band New Faith! After High School, Steve moved down to Yorba Linda to live with our family to see where our music could take us. As inevitably happens, life went on and we eventually went our  separate ways, got married, had children, and started our separate careers. As a career Steve was my one cousin that chose to follow my Grandpa and Uncle into the crop-dusting business.

Over the past 20 years, every time I would see Steve at our family gatherings, I would invite him to come down to visit our church in Mexico and we would joke about a “New Faith Reunion” as he would join me on stage and help lead our congregation in worship. For many years, that reunion was only a dream until last November. Just three months ago Steve made it down and joined my brother Mitch and my son Daniel for a weekend worship set at our church! My parents also drove down to witness that long dreamed of reunion finally take place.

We had such a great weekend together, Steve drove down two more times in January to join us at church here in Rosarito.  Steve even began to talk about joining us full time down here when he retired. Sadly, on February 16th we got the shocking news that Steve had been killed on the job when his cross-dusting helicopter crashed!

My cousin leaves behind a wife, 4 children, and several grandchildren. Although the loss is painful, I was blessed to text back and forth with Steve on the final day of his life. We talked about God and prayer, and his next trip down to Mexico!  One of the great blessings for me, is the love for Jesus and the church that I saw in the heart of Steve on those three final trips down to Mexico. I feel blessed and honored that the Lord allowed me and my brother Mitch to have those final visits together before He took Steve home to heaven!

Once again, I want to thank you for your partnership with our family here in Mexico. It is through your prayers that God meets our spiritual needs, and through your financial giving that God meet’s our physical needs. We love you, are praying for you,  and thank God for you!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel

Prayer Requests!

#1-  That God would strengthen and comfort our family and help me as I lead up my cousin Steve’s funeral on March 4th!

#2-  That God would bless the 3 church plants we have planned in the rest of 2022!

Praise Reports!

#1- Praise God for the blessed church planting partnerships with the 6 churches I was blessed to visit with in February.

#2- Praise God for the new ministry partnerships He has brought together.

Vincent Family February 2022 Missions Update

Greetings from Mexico,

One of the great blessings of being part of a church-planting sending hub, is the opportunity to go out and visit the churches we have planted! The Apostle Paul is our model, and we do our best to pattern our church planting activities on what Paul did on his church planting journeys in the book of Acts!

One of my favorite verses in the bible is Acts 15:36. We read there, “Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are doing.”  Paul began his 2nd missionary (church-planting) journey with a plan to go out and visit and encourage the churches that he had planted on his first journey with Barnabas! In January, I was blessed to travel with 3 good friends from our church and do that same thing!

Our 4-man missions team flew out from Tijuana headed to our 2 year old church plant outside of Mexico City in a city called Tulancingo! This traditional city of 250,000 is famous for being the most important wool textile producer in the country, and it was also home to El Santo, Mexico’s most famous lucha libre wrestler. But our purpose for traveling there was to visit our church planters (Federico and Jenny) and the church they have planted there!

We were blessed to host a marriage conference at their beautiful church facility and I led worship as well! Besides encouraging the marriages, and hosting a delicious dinner of regional cuisine,  we were blessed to see 4 first-time professions of faith at the end of the evening. Praise the Lord!

After leaving Tulancingo, we visited the historic Pyramid of the Sun on the road to Mexico City! This pyramid is the third largest in the world (758 feet tall) and was built in the year 200BC! This trip to Mexico City was especially powerful for my friend (and CCR staffer Abraham) who on this trip got to visit his mother’s hometown for the first time in his life!

Our church planting team hopped on an early flight out of Mexico City to fly to our next destination in Campeche! Campeche City is the capital of the small state of Campeche and is part of the famous Yucatan Peninsula! The area is beautiful and tropical, but our trip centered on our church planters Miguel and Liliana and their 3 year old church plant!

After 3 years of faithfully laboring, Miguel has begun his own church planting class and our missions team was down there to host a regional church planting conference! Upon landing, we hooked up with my good friend (and church planter from Culiacan) Hugo Limon to host the first church planting conference in the history of the Yucatan Peninsula! Unfortunately, when we landed we got the bad news that our Church planter Miguel was out with covid and would not be available to host the conference!

We prayed for Miguel, and then stepped out in faith to host and lead the conference ourselves! We were blessed as over 25 pastors traveled to this conference from 100 miles away, along with the congregants that are enrolled in Miguel’s local church planting class! The church planting conference was a great blessing to our new friends, and they have invited us back to host a conference next year in their city of Merida!

On the trip I was blessed to teach at the churches at their Sunday services and lead worship as well!

As I meditated on the great privilege of following in the giant footsteps of the Apostle Paul, I was reminded that he did not travel alone when he went on his journeys! Paul traveled with friends, and he also had supporters and partners that supported and believed in him, and sent him on his way through prayer and financial support!

I feel so blessed and honored to have partners like you that believe in the great work that God is doing here in the mission field of Mexico. (Not only through our local ministry here in Rosarito, but through the church plants as well!) We love you, are praying for you,  and thank God for you!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel

Prayer Requests!

#1-  That God would protect our family and church in these difficult times!

#2-  That God would bless our new church planting class, and the 6 church planting classes that are beginning in our church plants!

Praise Reports!

#1- Praise God for a blessed church planting journey to Tulancingo and Campeche!

#2- Praise God for good health for our family so far in 2022!

November 2021 Vincent Family Missions Update

Greetings from Mexico,

In this update, I wanted to let you know about what God has been doing in the life of my precious son Daniel!

Daniel recently turned 19, and he is in the middle of taking a gap year between his high school graduation and entering Bible college! And Daniel is involved in a number of exciting ministries and activities that I wanted to let you know about.

As many of you know, Daniel was less than a month old when he joined us on the mission field of Mexico! That means that he has lived his entire life here, and Daniel is (and always has been) the most Mexican of us all in the family! And although Daniel loves and honors his American heritage, I don’t believe that Daniel will ever leave Mexico to move to the United States to live.

Three months ago, Daniel tried out for our local professional basketball team, the BEACH, Rosarito! To my pleasant surprise, Daniel made the team and signed a professional contract! Although the level of play here is far below the NBA, this is a serious league where the players sign contracts, travel to other cities and states all expenses paid, and charge to watch their games!

The BEACH is in their first year in this Northern Mexico Regional League and they have taken some bumps and bruises during their games! But Daniel is seeing this as an important learning experience. Daniel is now 6 foot 3 and dunking the ball with ease (UNLIKE his dad used to) and has a fantastic three point shot! (LIKE his dad used to)  He has a great attitude whether he gets a lot of playing time or not, and we are very proud of him in this big step of faith he has taken to join this professional league.

Daniel has also continued with his private music lessons throughout this pandemic! Daniel is very gifted musically, and is presently taking weekly vocal and guitar lessons from one of our young worship leaders. I believe that God has a call to full time ministry for my son, and I know that God can and will use his being a multi -talented musician to accomplish His will.

Daniel continues to be one of our main keyboard players in the worship teams during our primary services in the sanctuary. I have had the blessing of having him join me on my worship numerous times, and I have to admit that he puts much more time than his old man does in preparing and practicing! One of the greatest joys of my life is presenting the message of salvation at the end of a sermon, while Daniel is by my side playing the keyboards!

The area of Daniel’s life I am most proud of is his spiritual development! The Bible says in 3rd John 1:4, “I have no greater joy than my children walk in the truth!” I can give a loud a hardy “AMEN” to that statement, and I am thankful for my son and the love he has for our Lord!

Daniel’s primary plan for the next two years is joining the excellent Calvary Chapel Bible College located in the hills of Ensenada (just an hour south of us) in January! This bilingual program is designed to train up young people not only for Christian living but the full time ministry! I believe that God is going to use these two years of Bible training to reveal to Daniel the calling that He has for his life. Please keep Daniel’s Bible College plans in your prayers!

Finally, we wanted to thank you once again for your love and prayers and support! Sadly, we have seen many missionary friends whose support has withered away over the years. But we are so thankful that God has raised up a group of generous partners that give sacrificially so that we can serve full time in the ripe mission fields of Mexico. We love you and thank God for you!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel

Prayer Requests!

#1-  That God would bless our upcoming Christmas events and outreaches!

#2-  That God would bless Daniel and his plans to enter Bible College in Ensenada in January!

Praise Reports!

#1- Praise God for Daniel and his spiritual growth!

#2- Praise God for the numerous blessings of being a church planting hub! (Presently 31 first generation church plants, 7 second generation, and 1 third generation)

Vincent Family October 2021

Greetings from Mexico,

The work of a missionary is and always has been a team effort! God sent our family down to Mexico in 2002, and He called you, our precious ministry partners, to join us in this great work. But there is another key component of this work and it is our missions sending organization! In this update I wanted to tell you about the great work Saving Grace World Missions (SGWM) does (and has done for over 19 years) to keep us on the mission field.

Saving Grace World Missions is the missions organization started by our sending church, Calvary Chapel Saving Grace, in the 1990’s! We were among the first missionaries sent out by this group that is designed to support and partner with international missionaries.

5 Generations of Church Planting! CCSaving Grace planted CCRosarito, planted CCCuliacan, planted CCCuliacan South, planted CCAguaruto

So what exactly is the main mission of SGWM? Saving Grace World Missions exists to reach people of every tribe, tongue, and nation with the Gospel. Specifically, their vision is to reach those who are “unreached,” and never heard the Gospel with the saving news of Jesus Christ. SGWM accomplishes this vision in three ways; #1- Through Missionary Care, #2- By Raising up Nationals, and #3- by Church planting!

For our family serving on the field, one of the main benefits of SGWM has been the administration work required to facilitate our family and ministry support. Their labors stateside, allows our financial partners like you to give to a US-based missions organization and receive your much-deserved tax deductions! SGWM then gets those finances to us to be used on the mission field!

The president of SGWM is my good friend and pastor, Trent Douglass! Trent was the pastor that ordained me, and sent our family here to church plant back in 2002. Trent has also been instrumental in our work here in Mexico, and the regular visits from him and his wife Debbie and their missions teams have been vital to our success! Trent is a regular guest speaker at our church, and also a faithful contributor to our yearly Church planting conference.

I can always count on Trent and our sending church to partner financially in our church plants together as well! Our most recent church plant was to the large city of Hermosillo. Trent generously offered to match our church’s large gift to outfit their spacious new church facility with air conditioning. (A must in this desert city that averages 105 degrees in the summer)

Three years ago, SGWM began a missions school that they have based right here in Rosarito. The staff and students have been a huge blessing to us, not only as they served in our church in Rosarito, but through their many outreaches to our local church plants every summer!

Saving Grace World Missions have been a faithful mission’s partner with us from the very beginning and I trust they will continue with us many years into the future. In a changing world, they have been a faithful rock of stability that we have been able to count on and work with.

We are not only thankful for the partnership of SGWM, but also for you, our faithful partners! It’s through your prayers that God meets our spiritual needs, and through your financial giving that God meets our physical needs. We love you and thank God for you!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel

Prayer Requests!

#1-  That God would bless SGWM and the work they do worldwide through their missionaries.

#2-  That God would provide for the financial needs of our family, church, and church plants, and keep us safe in these dangerous times!

Praise Reports!

#1- Praise God for our latest church plants in the desert city of Hermosillo!

#2- Praise God for three fruitful missions trips to Morelia, Loreto, and Guatemala City!

September 2021 Vincent Family Missions Update

Greetings from Mexico,

This past month of August was BUSY and full of church planting activities for us here south of the Border! I know that I talk a lot about church planting in these updates, but I want you to know that this is your spiritual fruit, and we are thankful for your partnership!

August began with our 4th annual church planting conference! We were blessed to have nearly 500 attendee’s this year that flew in from the USA, different parts of Mexico, and even from Peru in South America. I may be biased, but I believe that this was our best conference ever! For me personally, these conferences are like a big family reunion, where I get to see so many of my church planting friends return to the sending hub (home base) in Rosarito!

The topic of the conference this year was “Lessons from the ancient church plants”, and we heard timely teachings based off the early church plants in Jerusalem, Antioch, and from the churches that Paul planted on his missionary journeys.  We also had (a record) 18 breakout workshop sessions with a variety of topics for the attendee’s to choose from. As always, the most popular workshops are the ladies workshops, and my beautiful bride Sarah hosted a fantastic one with her friends (and Pastor’s wives) Beni and Eli!

The highlight for this conference was definitely found at the end as we all came together to send out our newest church planting team to Hermosillo! 3 years ago, we made the decision to send out a church plant at the end of every conference, so our guests can see what that looks like and be encouraged to do it in their own churches! Keep our latest church plant to Hermosillo (#30) in your prayers!

I am also blessed to reveal for the first time our new church planting partnership program! After 13 years of hosting our church planting school in our local church, we got all of our class materials together along with our church plantings teachings and we now offer it free to any churches that want to partner with us and start their own  church planting school!

The first day of Calvary Chapel Bear Creek’s Church Planting Class!

Starting in August, we have two new church planting partners, and I got to visit with both of those schools this month! Our first partnering church is Calvary Chapel Bear Creek located in Wildomar! (Southern California) My good friend Pastor Steve Price has partnered with us for 5 years in church planting, and he planned to start his church planting school this August. Unfortunately, God called Pastor Steve home to heaven earlier this year, but his Assistant Pastors are continuing that vision and started their school. I was blessed to teach their first class up in California along with my church planting assistant, Super Mario Medrano!

Teaching the students in Peru on video through ZOOM!

We also have a new church planting partner in the South American country of Peru! My friend Pastor Cory Kilgus, brought a couple of his students up to our conference, and after talking together he has agreed to use our curriculum to raise up church planters in Peru! Just last night I was blessed to teach their class via ZOOM, and it was so encouraging to share with his 20 students that all have a passion to plant churches throughout South America!

When our family first moved to Mexico way back in 2002, God gave me 1st Corinthians 3:6 as our missions verse. The Apostle Paul writes there, “I planted, Apolos watered, but God gave the increase!” God was reminding me that to do a great missions work, I would need faithful ministry partners to join us through their financial giving and prayers! Our family is so thankful for your love, partnership, and prayers over the years!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel

Prayer Requests!

#1-  That God would bless the church planting schools of our new partners, in Wildomar (Ca), and in Peru!

#2-  That God would provide for the financial needs of our family, church, and church plants, and keep us safe in these dangerous times!

Praise Reports!

#1- Praise God for a wonderful church planting conference, with many getting encouraged!

#2- Praise God for our new church planting evening course, that has 21 first-time students attending! (Along with 30 in our afternoon course)

August 2021 Vincent Family Mission Update

Greetings from Mexico,

Rosarito Beach Pier 2021!

What do you call 180 AMPED UP kids that are ready to have some fun and learn about Jesus? You call it the Calvary Rosarito Summer Vacation Bible School (VBS)! In July, we were blessed to once again host our annual VBS and our church sold our pre-selected attendance goals in just one week! This summer, our theme is “Treasures in the Eyes of the Lord”, and each one of the children (ages 3 to 12) learned every day about how precious they are as treasures of the Lord!

Each morning of this summer camp began with a fun and energetic time of worship and dancing! Seeing these children jump around to songs all about Jesus would fill anyone’s heart with joy! After the worship time, comes the team-wide screaming contest! (I don’t think that’s what they called it, but that’s what it looked like and sounded like to me!) This ear-splitting event helped the leaders decide which age group was ready first to leave the sanctuary and go on their treasure hunt! The most passionate team then headed out first, followed by the rest!

The children’s day continued with non-stop activities! Over the course of the day, each color coded team stopped by one of five themed stations where they completed a fun activity, followed by a short Bible lesson. As I watched the children participate, I couldn’t find one child that wasn’t full engaged and enjoying themselves! THANK YOU LORD!

A special blessing to me was to see the 60 volunteers that committed to serve and teach these precious children! We had moms and dads helping, we had retired folks helping, and we had a bunch of youth helping too! All of these volunteers served under the well-organized leadership of our church’s children’s ministry Pastor Oliver Zuniga! We were also blessed to have one of our partner churches (Calvary Chapel Westgrove) bring their high school team down to help us out with our VBS all week long!

Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, “let the little children come unto me” and we were blessed to witness that happening, again and again throughout VBS week! Each and every day, the children were given the opportunity to place their faith in Jesus, and we saw many children take this most important step for the very first time during VBS!

As a Pastor, there is no greater joy for me than to see our church taken over by smiling kids that are enjoying the Lord and receiving the opportunity to learn about Him! As I was working in my office this week, I couldn’t stop smiling as I heard shouts of laughter and cries of joy occurring again and again!

Once again, I want to thank you for partnering with us in this great missions work. It is through your prayers, that God provides our spiritual needs, and through your financial gifts, that God provides our physical needs! We love you and are thankful for you!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel

Being sent out from Yorba Linda in July 2002!

Prayer Requests!

#1-  That God would bless the preparation for our upcoming church planting conference! (August 6-7)

#2-  That God would provide for the financial needs of our family, church, and church plants!

Praise Reports!

July 2021 Vincent Family Missions Update

Greetings from Rosarito Beach Mexico,

June was a busy month for us as I am sure it was for many of you! Personally, Sarah and I got to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary! We had a great time together and we laughed about how 19 of those years have been spent right here in Mexico! On the ministry side of things, our church had a fun Cowboy themed Father’s Day Celebration, with a Father’s Day Photo booth! (Happy Father’s day to all of you father’s out there, and thank you for the great job you do!)

This summer began with me busily preparing for our Bilingual Church Planting Conference that we host every summer as a church! In this update, I wanted to let you know what we have planned for this upcoming conference, and share a couple of prayer points with you.

7 years ago, we started our annual church planting conference, and each year we have seen it grow little by little. Last year (in the middle of the Covid19 pandemic), we had our largest conference yet. But with things slowly returning to normal, this  year we are asking God for even bigger and better things!

The dates of this year’s conference are August 6th and 7th (Friday and Saturday) and the event will be held once again at our church facility! We have a fantastic theme this year of “Lessons from the Ancient Church Planters”! We are planning on looking at 7 of the early churches found in the book of Acts and Paul’s epistles, to learn unique lessons from each one of them in regards to church planting!

We have an amazing line up of teachers this year which include three of our very own church planters, Hugo Limon (Culiacan), Aaron Smith (Punta Gorda Florida), and Fernando Serrano (Las Vegas) We also have my good friend Pastor Daniel Nunez joining us, who is a local hero of mine that has planted over 40 churches in Mexico and beyond. I am blessed to have  Pastor Bruce Zackary (Calvary Nexus in Camarillo) teaching who is not only one of my personal mentors but also the author of the Church planting manual that we use in our church planting school. My Pastor and friend Trent Douglass of CCSaving Grace will also be teaching.

Aside from the main teachings, we also have an amazing lineup of 15 breakout/workshop sessions taught by gifted men and women covering a wide variety of interests and specialized topics! I believe that we are going to end the conference with the biggest highlight of all! For the third year in a row, we are ending the conference by sending out a new church plant together.

My friends Mary and German Lopez joined our church 3 years ago to be trained up to church plant in their hometown state of Sonora! (One state over to the East from Baja) We are planning to send them out to the capital city of Sonora, Hermosillo which has over 1 million inhabitants! I was blessed to take a vision tour in June with this gifted couple, and it was amazing to see God’s plans for them already unfolding! Mary and German have a fire burning in them, that matched the blazing 112 degree temperatures we experienced in that desert town!

Finally, I would like to personally invite you to attend our church planting conference this year! As always, the conference is free, and is open to anyone with a heart to SEND and partner with church planters or to BE SENT to church plant in the future!

Once again, I want to thank you for partnering with us in this amazing work.  We feel honored and humbled that you choose to partner with us through your prayers and finances!  We love you and are thankful for you!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel

June 2021 Vincent Family Missions Update

Greetings from Mexico,

In May, I got to take the trip of a lifetime to Culiacan Sinaloa! Culiacan is famous for being the hometown for the #1 drug Lord in the past 20 years, El Chapo (who thankfully is sitting in a New York High Security Jail right now)! But much more important than that, is that Culiacan is the home to a Church Plant that has become a sending hub!

I was able to travel to Sinaloa with three pastor friends to meet my good friend and church planter Hugo Limon! Hugo was an assistant Pastor with us many years ago, and we sent him out back in 2015 to church plant in his hometown of Culiacan! Because Culiacan is a state capital city with over 1 million inhabitants, Pastor Hugo had a plan to plant 4 churches in his city from the very beginning!

My trip to Culiacan was to celebrate the completion of Hugo’s vision after just 6 years! While I was in Culiacan we got to ordain Hugo’s newest church planter Mario and witness the inauguration of Calvary Culiacan West! Hugo has now planted four other churches and we got to visit every one of them during our time there. On these visits, we were blessed to sit with and pray for each pastor, and give them a generous financial gift from our church in Rosarito.

Also on this trip, we were blessed to visit our very first 3rd generation church plant! Now you might be wondering, what is a 3rd generation church plant? A 3rd generation church plant is the church plant from a church plant of a church plant! Here’s how that works. We sent out Pastor Hugo in 2015 to plant Calvary Culiacan North! Hugo then sent out his good friend Pastor Valerio to church plant Calvary Culiacan South in 2018! And Pastor Valerio sent out my new friend Pastor Antonio to church plant Calvary Aguaruto on the Sunday we were there.

I was so blessed to ordain Pastor Antonio on Sunday morning at his sending church CCSouth! And then in the afternoon, I had the honor and privilege of teaching at their first official Sunday service! I was filled with thanksgiving as we drove the 45 minutes out of Culiacan to this small agricultural community of Aguaruto.  When I arrived at their new church facility I was blown away! Over 125 people were in attendance at their grand opening service! There was joy, happiness, and excitement everywhere as we got to witness our Almighty God do a miracle and give this brand new church an awe inspiring start!

By the end of our 5 day journey, our missions team had visited all 7 of Hugo’s church plants and future church planters that are still in the Home Bible study phase! It was awe inspiring to see the excitement of the people in their churches. Each church plant has accepted the challenge to not only reach their local community, but to be a church planting hub. Each church has committed to send some of their servant leaders to the church planting course that is given at Pastor Hugo’s original church located in North Culiacan.

A special highlight for me was the opportunity to do a two-hour sit-down Question and Answer time with Hugo’s church planting students! I was amazed when over 40 students showed up for the class! (That’s more than we have in our church planting program in Rosarito!) These students came ready to stump me with very difficult questions about every aspect of the church! But the Lord was with me, and we had a wonderful time learning together.

Precious friends, thank you so much for partnering with us and allowing our church to be a sending hub of church planting. The heart of our church planting program is to send out Pastors that will plant churches that are also sending hubs. And that’s exactly what we’re seeing in the churches in Culiacan!

Finally, I want to thank you for partnering with our family and ministry! It is through your prayers that God meets our spiritual needs, and it’s through your financial partnership that God meets our physical needs. We love you and are thankful for you!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Vincent Family Update May 2021

Greetings from Mexico,

During May in Mexico, the focus is on the children! And to celebrate children, this month our church got to celebrate the  “Día Del Nino”! (the Day of the Child)  This fun holiday began in Mexico all the way back in 1924. And one of the many things I love about our adopted country of Mexico is the way that it honors and blesses children!

In every city that you visit in Mexico, you will see streets called “Nino’s Heroes” (Children Hero’s) These street’s honor 6 boys that were part of a military academy in a city called Chapultapec that fought to the death against the invading US marines back in the year 1847. One of these courageous boys famously wrapped himself up in the Mexican flag to keep it from falling into the invaders hands. Sadly all 6 boys were killed, but they are celebrated and remembered still to this day in every city of the Republic.

Our church has always loved children! Our love for children began all the way back in 2002 when my wife Sarah and a few good friends picked up the poor children of the community to bring them to church.  And to this day, we are averaging nearly 300 precious children each weekend at our church.  Our children’s ministry director Oliver and his team of 50 servant/ teachers do a fantastic job ministering to and blessing these precious children.

On April 30th, Mexico celebrates and honors the children of Mexico and to join in the fun, our church threw a huge party for 180 of our children. This 3 hour Saturday event was packed with fun, candy, games, and all you can eat pizza! But the focus of this party was Jesus! And it never get’s old to see children respond to the love and salvation that Jesus freely offers them.

It was our Savior Jesus that told His disciples “let the little children come unto me” (Matthew 19:14)  and it’s such a blessing to see children coming to Jesus. Children come to Jesus with what He described as  “a childlike faith” (Matthew 18:3) that He desires that each one of us would have.

Our young adults group AGAMOS hosted and served the children at our Día Del Nino party!  This team of 20 young adults (including my daughter Grace) gave up their Saturday to serve these precious children. And they joined in the fun by dressing up, acting silly, and making sure that each one of these children felt deeply loved.

Thank you so much for allowing us to plant a church and ministry that reaches the precious children in Mexico that God loves so much! Each one of these little ones is precious to our heavenly father, and we are thankful that you partner with us in this great work!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel

#1-  That God would bless our next church plant in May! (Calvary La Mina “The mine”) in the outskirts of Rosarito!
