Vincent Family November 2018 Missions Update

Greetings from Mexico,

In this update, I wanted to share with you about a missions trip my son Daniel and I got to take last month to visit two of our church plants! We were blessed to travel with my good friend and assistant Pastor, Fernando and his son Dan who is one of Daniel’s best friends! We also traveled with our good friends Jeff and Bonnie Johnson, who served on our  church staff for many years. The purpose of this trip was to visit and encourage two of our church plants and build up the churches through conferences!

Our trip began in the beautiful seaside city of Todos Santos located in Southern Baja! This city, home to the original famous Hotel California (for you Eagles music fans) is located on the rough and raw Southwest tip of Baja! After a quick trip to the beach, our ministry team visited our 6 month old church plant that is called 412 Todos Santos. This is one of our 3 2nd generation church plants, that was directly planted by one of our church plants! (3 year old Calvary Chapel Rancho Libertad, located 30 minutes south of us in the community of  La Mision)

6 months ago, our friends sent out a team of 5 to begin this new venture of faith! Besides supporting them financially every month, our church has a commitment to visit and encourage each one of these next generation church plants. In a certain way, we consider these churches our GRANDAUGHTER CHURCHES that have been sent out by our daughter churches!

After receiving a tour of the property, we hosted a conference on the Bible. To our delight, around 40 church members turned out for the Thursday conference, and we even had one first time profession of faith. We finished up the conference with a delicious Carnitas taco feast that our church was blessed to provide. It was so encouraging to see how God is spreading our passion for church planters to our church plants.

The rest of our five day trip took place in the beautiful capital city of La Paz! (Located in the South East of South Baja) Our days began early as we woke up and had our son’s lead us in morning devotions! Also in La Paz, we hosted a two day marriage and family conference that was open to the entire community!

We had about 80 in attendance and our boys helped out and served all day in the bustling children’s ministry! In my teachings, I was able to teach on the roles of marriage and raising children in the ways of the Lord!

On Sunday, I was blessed to preach to the 4 year old congregation of CCLa Paz! They have a great ministry team, including three families that were sent out of our church in the past few years! On Sunday morning, the attendance was well over 100 adults, and we were honored to witness 3 first time professions of faith!

The Pastor (Michael McDonald) and his wife Sharlene then took us out to an amazing secluded beach where we enjoyed an afternoon of lunch, fellowship, and snorkeling! If you are the kind of person that loves warm clear water, secluded beaches, and beautiful fish, I highly encourage you to visit La Paz!

Finally, I want to thank you once again for partnering with our family and ministry in the mission field of Mexico. As the church planter Paul wrote in the scriptures, “I planted, Apollo’s watered, but GOD gave the increase!” We feel very honored and blessed that you have chosen to partner with our family and ministry! THANK YOU!

Con mucho amor de Mexico,  (with much love from Mexico)

Mike, Sarah, Grace, and Daniel
