“Saving Grace World Missions exists to plant churches throughout the world using the book of Acts as the biblical model. We seek to preach the Gospel to all nations and disciple indigenous leaders through Bible Colleges in their country. Our goal is to equip and commission these leaders to reach their own people with the Gospel to establish New Testament churches that truly glorify God.”
Teaching through the book of Acts for many years Pastor Trent started realizing that the book was a book about missions. As he studied and taught the book of Acts his heart was overwhelmed with the call to world evangelization. Jesus says in Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel…” The command that Jesus gave was to “Go”. As this passion filled Trent’s heart and his teachings the Lord starting moving amongst the body of Calvary Chapel Saving Grace. It wasn’t long until the Lord started calling men and women from the body of CCSG to go and reach the nations. Works were planted in Uganda Africa, Newcastle Upon-Tyne England, Rosarito Mexico and more. This was the birth of Saving Grace World Missions and with the book of Acts as our model we passionately move forward in establishing New Testament Spirit filled churches and are overwhelmed with all that God has done, is doing, and is going to do.
Today, SGWM is the mission’s department of Calvary Chapel Saving Grace. This organization provides cross cultural training, discipleship, facilitates missionary care, including contributions, and provides practical state side assistance and shepherds’ missionaries on and off the field.
The purpose for our mission’s organization and staff is to prepare, organize, facilitate, and assist in the administrative needs of maintaining each missionary on the field and off. Mike Thiemann is a full time missionary with SGWM at the home office and is currently on support. The purpose of having him on support is to ease the overhead cost for SGWM. Without his contribution to this organization our missionaries would not be fully trained, cross culturally prepared, and financially secure. It is vital to maintain a strong healthy home base in order to grow and move forward with what the Lord is doing in world missions.
SGWM’s goal and vision is to plant New Testament churches, establish Bible Colleges and reach the unreached of the world. The opportunities the Lord has placed before us are awesome as we strive together as one body in the goal of reaching the nations, one soul at a time.
