About

We are Ron & Kristy Struska, and we are missionaries with Saving Grace World Missions to Rosarito, Mexico. We are from the Chicago area, but moved to Wisconsin shortly after we were married. That is where our children were born and where Ron worked primarily in restaurant management. The name of our sending church is Faith Community Church, in Fort Atkinson, WI. We are serving as missionary staff at Calvary Chapel Rosarito (CCR), heading up Outreach Ministries. We are primarily in charge of short-term missions teams, serving at and through CCR. Our church is bilingual and is located in Rosarito. CCR has a strong focus on sharing the gospel and discipleship, as well as missions and church planting.

We have two children. Brittany is 22 years old, and Will is 18. Brittany was married in 2016 to Brian, who is studying to be a teacher of languages at a university in Tijuana. Brian is also working at one of CCR’s church plants, Calvary Chapel Playas (in Playas de Tijuana), as an Assistant Pastor and Worship Leader. Brittany is currently working at Chik-fil-A and serves at CCP in worship, youth and young adult ministries, and more. Brian & Brittany had a baby, Joshua Brian, in March 2020 – our first grandchild!! Will graduated high school in June 2020. He continues working for Chik-fil-A in California.

We first heard the Lord’s call to missions on a short-term youth missions trip to Chihuahua, Mexico in 2004. Shortly after that, we took two short-term trips and spent the summer of 2009 serving in Rosarito. Then in May 2010, our family moved to Rosarito full-time. Our role has primarily been hosting mission teams from the US & Canada as they serve through various types of outreach to the local church. We are committed to spreading the gospel to the Mexican people.

We organize and run short-term missions trips for teams who would like to serve at CCR, our church plants, or in the surrounding communities. These trips are completely customizable and vary with each team – from dump outreaches, children’s ministry (VBS), and orphanage visits, to construction ministry where we build or do repairs for churches/homes/orphanages, to building a home for a local family in need. There are opportunities for teams and families of all sizes! We work with teams from churches of all Christian denominations.

In March of 2016 we opened Connections House, which is dorm-style housing for short-term missions teams. We made this decision because we were having trouble finding dorms for the teams that we were working with, and the Lord has continued to bless this endeavor! Since we opened, we have done a lot of renovations to the place and with God’s help, we raised 80% of the funds needed to buy the property. The purchase finally went through in July 2018, leaving us with a small personal loan. At the end of 2018 we doubled the size of the floor on the 3rd story in order to add a new dining room and commercial kitchen. We felt the Lord leading strongly in that area because of all the donations that were coming in for the project. By February 2020, the exterior of the building was about 95% completed and all of the interior walls were studded and plumbing was installed. We are praying that we will be able to open the dining room and kitchen by spring 2021! Once this is open, we will be able to convert the first floor into more dorms, which should bring our total number of beds from 33 to 55. This will help us to be able to house more than one team at a time, as well as our bigger teams that have 40-55 people.

We thank God for our incredible support team! It is because of their partnership that we have the privilege of working to expand the kingdom here in Mexico!
