Well wishes for this Christmas season! Thank you all for praying for our church and ministry here. Thank you for your financial support also. I would also like to thank God that He has given us people like you who always pray for me.

Last month, God gave us an opportunity to go and attend a conference in another city. A few of my church members who are new believers also got the opportunity to attend the conference. This was a new experience for them because this was their first Christian conference. It was really encouraging for them! They had no idea what the conference would be like. Before, they had been to many different Hindu conferences, and this was very different from that.

At our Christian conference, the new believers experienced a really peaceful, spiritual environment. They were able to grow and understand more about God. I also thank God that He gave me the opportunity to spend some good time with the new believers. When I asked them how they felt about the conference, they told me that they had been so busy with many different things of the world, but the conference had been a time of refreshing for them. So, I believe that they really had a blessed time!

Discipling New Believers

I thank God that He is adding many people to the church. Despite having many problems, God is adding many people to the church. Among these people, there are many teenage girls from a Hindu background. It becomes very difficult for them to face their families and to continue to believe. When they come to faith in Jesus, their family members do not want them to believe in Jesus Christ and they make many plans to get the teenage girls away from Christ. They try to get the girls to marry Hindu boys so that they will no longer believe in Christ. Here, it is easy for people to fall away from believing in Christ. But in spite of these circumstances for the teenage girls, they are standing strong in their faith. Seeing this, I rejoice in the Lord, and I always pray that they will always be strong in their faith. They often share these kinds of problems with me. Being a leader, I do become troubled-but it is God who is in control of everything.

Especially, I would like to thank God that last month we were blessed to baptize a few people. I was really glad, seeing my disciples obeying God’s commandment. In one of my newsletters, I shared about a couple who had just accepted Jesus as their Savior. I thank God that after only a few months, God put it in their hearts that they should be baptized! So, I shared with my church that we would be baptizing this couple, and then one more believer wanted to be baptized! I invited some of my friends for this baptism, and we baptized three people! Praise the Lord!

Prayer requests:

  • Pray for those who were baptized, that now they may continue to move forward in their faith.
  • Pray for the youth, that they may face their families and be able to stand strong in all circumstances.
  • Pray for me, that God may give me wisdom and knowledge to guide the people of my church, and that their families will receive salvation as well.
  • Pray for safety as I drive my motorcycle and travel far to different villages.
  • Pray that God will provide, as I am planning to get a new bike because my old bike is not working well.

God bless you,   Pastor 12
