30 Days of Ramadan-Praying for the Nations-The Gambia & Bahrain

Please pray  for:

The Gambia & Bahrain

The Gambia: is 90% Muslim and about 9% Christian, mostly Roman Catholic. The Gambia is a narrow strip of land located on the west coast of Africa.  It is entirely surrounded by Senegal. The Constitution provides for freedom of religion, and the Government generally respected this right in practice.  There are no reports of persecution in The Gambia.

Bahrain: The Constitution of Bahrain states that Islam is the official religion and that Shari’a (Islamic law) is a principal source for legislation. Government policy allows the free practice of religion; however, there are limits on this right. Members of other religious groups are permitted to practice their faith privately and to maintain their own places of worship. But all religious groups must obtain a license. Conversion from Islam is not tolerated. Muslim-background believers are shunned by their families and communities and sometimes face physical abuse.

Prayer Points:

  1. Please pray for the little country of The Gambia.  Pray that the gospel will spread through out the nation.
  2. Pray for those of Muslim faith that they would start to question what they believe and want to seek out who Jesus really is.
  3. Pray for those who are afraid of what their family and friends will do if they choose to believe in Jesus as Savior.  Pray for courage and strength to not give in to their fears.
  4. Pray for the people of Bahrain that they would come to know the truth of the gospel message.
  5. Pray for those who live in fear of being outcast by their family and friends.  Pray that they would cling to Jesus for hope, peace and strength.
  6. Pray that the LORD would change the laws of the government so that there is freedom to worship without restrictions due to Islam.

Thank you for praying!
