Chad & Lebanon

Chad: is a land-locked country in north central Africa. It is bordered by Libya to the north, Niger to the west, Sudan to the East and Central African Republic to the South. About 54% of Chad is Muslim and 34% are Christian. . The constitution provides for a secular state and guarantees religious freedom; different religious communities generally co-exist without problems. Muslims live in the northern part of the state and the Christians live in the southern.

Lebanon: is 59% Muslim and 39% are Christians. With several civil wars between Islamic extremists and the Lebanese military, this has caused many Christians to flee the country and have re-tipped the demographic balance in favor of the Muslims and the Sunnis in particular. Even though Lebanon is a secular country, family matters such as marriage, divorce and inheritance are still handled by the religious authorities representing a person’s faith.

Prayer Points:

1. Pray for the people of Chad to come to know Jesus and the gospel to be spread.
2. Pray for the Southern believer’s to have a heart to reach out and pray for their northern brothers who are lost in the darkness of Islam.
3. Pray for the hearts of the northern people of Chad to be soften towards the gospel.
4. Pray for the people of Lebanon that they will come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.
5. Pray for those who have fled the nation for fear of death due to the civil wars.  Pray for those who have fled to come home and shine brightly for Jesus in their country.
6. Pray for the leaders of these nations to come to know Jesus.
