Brent and Nancy Kaser-Promise Child Newsletter – June 2010
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks;
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
I have been reflecting a lot lately on all of the amazing things that the Lord has been doing in the hearts of the children of Promise Child. Every month, there are endless numbers of heart-warming stories for us to choose from to write about in our newsletters. But this month we are going to do something a little different.
First and foremost, we at Promise Child want to give God all the glory and honor that He deserves. Psalms 7:17 says, “I will give thanks to the Lord according to His righteousness and will sing praises to the Lord most high.” This is where I find myself today; at a place of singing praises to God. I praise God today for people just like you; people who have come alongside our ministry, trusted us with their giving, and have made a huge impact in the lives of children around the world. In my wildest dreams, I never would have thought that meeting a child who was begging for change on the side of a road would impact my life so much. With her worn filthy clothing, her chapped and dirty feet; she stepped back, put on the cutest smile in the world, placed a basket on her head, and changed my life.
As we enter into Haiti, knowing that this is the sixth country that Promise Child has had the incredible privilege of working in, we are truly grateful. Today, it seems like everyone is always asking for something, always having alternative motives. At Promise Child, we want you to know that our passion is Jesus Christ. Our desire is to see His name magnified and lifted up. We have no alternative motives other than changing the lives of children and their families by providing for their basic needs and sharing the love of Christ.
With this said, on behalf of the volunteer staff, our paid in-country workers, but most importantly on behalf of the children who’s lives have been touch by your support; thank you.
Until the last child hears,
Pastor Brent Kaser
