Our God is doing incredible things in Asia. I have just concluded a week long conference with many missionaries working among the millions that have never heard that God loves them. I had the privilege of sharing with them those Scriptures and words of advice that kept me focused in my greatest times of trial living in the refugee camp in Africa and during our last two years in Sri Lanka. After my teaching, many of these wonderful missionaries shared with me how my testimony encouraged them to continue in their mission fields, to never give up, and to be faithful to wait for God to pour out salvation upon this dry land. I spoke to several couples who had arrived at the conference considering coming home from the mission field. They approached me after the teachings and shared with me that they had recommitted their lives afresh in service to God and will be remaining on the field. I cannot put into words the honor that I felt knowing that my trials are now being used to encourage these precious saints that have given up everything to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Asia.
"When they are raided by the police some can escape and continue the work of God"
One of these missionaries has been working amongst an extremely remote tribal people in China for 17 years. In that time they have seen only a handful of people come to faith in Jesus Christ. They, with the help of other Westerners and Chinese, have been able to translate most of the New Testament. House churches are being started throughout the region. In this part of the world it is not wise to have a permanent church building because the Chinese government could come unexpectedly with police officers and city officials to arrest church members and shut down the facility. So the believers break up into small groups in ordinary houses so that when they are raided by the police some can escape and continue the work of God in new homes in other cities.
Thank you for standing with us. Your prayers and financial gifts are touching the lives of more people than we know.
