“…for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Phil. 2:13
Dear Friends and Family
Greetings! We praise God for His Special protection, guidance and provision as we serve here and we are thankful to you for the faithful co-laboring with us through your prayers and support. We all are fine by God’s grace though it is very hot and humid here these days and over that in every summer we all here face the problem of power outage. So many people have died in Pakistan and India this year due to excessive temperature. So please keep this part of the world in your prayers!
We have been serving for almost 8 years by reaching villages to share the word of God with Christians and to encourage them in the Christian faith through Bible Studies. The expository Bible study of the Book of Genesis was very helpful for all these groups. We still have Bible study groups at different locations in our town and the largest one was started few months before at a rented place, in a Christian book shop & library. We are studying book of Genesis on Saturdays and have topical study on every Tuesday at this place.
Now Lord is leading us to start an official Church in the town. We have many families with us who totally depend on us for their spiritual needs, and they also have many other needs which can only be provided by an official church, for example performing the marriages and leading funeral services etc. In order to start a church the very first things is to get it registered with our government, and for the registration, there are certain requirements like:
- We need to have a specific number of families in our congregation.
- We need to have our own personal place [piece of property] for our church meetings.
- If we don’t have building at first, we need to have high walls around the place for security.
Only after meeting these requirements we will be able to apply for the registration, and when we have a registered church only then we can function properly. We are prayerfully seeking God’s guidance for every step regarding starting Calvary chapel in Pakistan officially. This project has been approved by our Senior Pastors and the board of our mission organization. We are already having our two church meetings weekly with our this new small congregation. There are many Christian families around them, we hope those are also going to join when they learn about our church planting in the area and our weekly meetings.
So the very first things we are working on is “raising support” for purchasing land for our church. We want to request you to please keep this in your prayers and we also want to invite you to be part of the project in any possible way the Spirit of God leads you.
We praise God for CC Woman Ministry and how it is impacting the lives of poor women of the villages. The ministry arranged a trip last month and the Sewing School students were very happy to go to the neighboring city and visit some important and historical places including Pakistan Bible Society. This was great experience for them as many of them went very first time to even our neighboring city.
The women ministry will be organizing the graduation ceremony in coming months. The ministry has encouraged these women to continue growing in their spiritual life and also use their sewing skills to lead a better life and support their families as well.
And we praise God for the wonderful results of CC Pak Women Ministry. The women ministry is also praying and seeking the will of God to start another Center in one village. We have been requested by this new group for starting the Sewing Center in their area as there is great need, and as we are having weekly fellowships (Bible Study) with this group for last several months. we are praying for the provision of support to start this new sewing center and want to request you to please keep this in your prayers and invited you to be part of this through your prayers and support as Lord leads you.
We are thankful for your the prayers and your generous support of Calvary Chapel Pakistan. We love you and pray for you!
in Christ Jesus
