Being Thankful
Being Thankful
The Martinez Family
JANUARY, 2012
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights
As we finished up 2011 and have moved into 2012, we cannot help but to be thankful for the gift of being allowed to serve the wonderful people of Mexico.
We are also thankful for the gift of being able to serve as a family. It has been such a blessing to see both of our daughters growing in the Lord, discovering their gifts and talents and flourishing in the ministry.
It’s so exciting to see our daughters serving in both churches. Rosemary is very gifted in worship and is serving on the worship team at both Calvary Chapel Pedregales and Tijuana. It is becoming very obvious that our little Christina is a gifted teacher, she is now teaching the 3 – 6 year old class. The children just love her! Please keep them in prayer that they make good decisions, guided by the Holy Spirit.
We have been gathering for prayer every other Saturday at the downtown church and we are excited to see large numbers of people coming out for prayer. We have wonderful times seeking the Lord and seeing His faithfulness in answering prayer. It’s so awesome to have sweet fellowship with Jesus Christ and the family of God.
We are thankful for His gift of friends, like you, who enrich our lives, day by day and year after year. Many of you share our faith in Jesus so we consider you forever family, as well. We are thankful for His gift of both churches Calvary Chapel Pedregales and Calvary Chapel Tijuana. We feel so privileged to serve– not only myself, but my wife and daughters. To God be the glory!
We are thankful for our home, and our place in Cantamar. We are thankful we can share these places with our family and friends. Our home has served as a nice vacation spot for leaders and their families who need a rest, and also for our women’s retreats.
So we look forward to the future–no matter what challenges it may hold, because we know who holds the future in His hands. Most of all, we are eternally grateful for the greatest Gift of all that the Father gave us more than 2,000 years ago. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.” He is the Giver. We are the receivers. May we all have a great 2012 to you all!
