“He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose” — Jim Elliot
During these last several months I have been amazed at what the Lord’s been doing in every aspect of my life and ministry.
I have now been teaching an English as a Second Language Class for about a year consistantly now. There are 15-20 students and we are now not only praying before and after each class but we are having a half an hour bible study through Genesis each day as well.
The class mostly consists of women and several of them have been able to get a job or move up into a higher paying position because of their improved English. One family from the class is coming to Calvary Chapel now and her daughter is in my Sunday school class.
There are several of my students that go to the Apostolic church which has a very interesting doctrine. They don’t believe in the Trinity. Actually there aren’t any Bible teaching churches in Spanish here in town that I know of.
I continue working with the Jr. High and High School students at the school where I teach the after school program. Last month I taught all of the 6th grade girls about abstinance and the importance of saving themselves for marriage. The assistant pastor from Calvary taught the 6th grade boys.
During Christmas I was able to go to McAllen, TX to visit my best friend Kathryn who was very pregnant with her 4th baby. While I was there she had a home birth and her son Evander Jude was born!! It was an amazing experiance that I will never forget.

Kathryn and her husband Abraham go to Calvary Chapel McAllen. Which is a very small new church. It was such a blessing to be there and see how the Lord is growing up Calvary’s along the Mexican Boarder. They have actually started a Bible study in their town which is an hour away in Rio Grande City. So please keep both of these churches in your prayers.
I am presently going to Community College at night taking Math and Biology. I only have two more classes to take next semester and I will finally have my AA…woohoo…! This may not seem like it is very important as a missionary, but acutally it is! Many countries that I feel called to wouldn’t allow a “missionary” to come in, but they would allow an English teacher.
Therefore I will Lord willing finish my degree in the coming year. Also this summer I will be going to a school in Italy where I will get Certified to teach ESL internationally. The school offers Italian, and as I am fluent in Spanish I pray Italian will come easily. The school is $1,800 for 4 weeks. It is a very intense course.
The school is from May 30-June 24. I have contacted Calvary Chapel Rome to see if I can volunteer there as a missionary for a month. If I don’t hear back from them I might see if I can actually be a teacher at a English summer camp that they hold for Italian kids to learn English. This will give me a wonderful opportunity to be able to share the gospel and minister to these precious children. (Below is a video done by CC Rome explaining the need for missions there)

Below…Florence…Italians..who need Jesus!!
One thing that I have learned from traveling to over 32 countries is that people need Jesus everywhere. It doesn’t matter if you go to the subways in Romania or to the wealthiest palaces in Italy, each and every person needs salvation!
So please join with me in prayer as I don’t know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future and I am so excited to see what He is going to do!!
I will continue to teach ESL and the Bible study until the end of the school year. Please pray that the Lord will bring more people to the school as well as more opportunities in Bullhead city to reach out to people who are in desperate need of the Lord.
Thank you so very much for your continued prayers and support. God bless you and keep you as we share His love together.
