Bond and Heather Gaona are missionaries with Saving Grace World Missions (SGWM) serving primarily in Asia and Africa. They also work with Promise Child ministries, which meets the basic individual needs of children to provide food, clothing, shelter, and education, which brings an open door for the Gospel and hope that does not disappoint.
Their primary goal is to train and equip pastors and leaders in the Word of God to minister the Gospel in unreached areas. In addition, they desire to build up local believers through discipleship, and share the gospel with those who have never before heard the name of Jesus Christ.
The purpose of the ministry is:
- to invest into the lives of pastors and leaders who desperately desire biblical training
- to encourage the nationals and disciple the believers
- to reach out to the Promise Child families
- to share the Gospel with those who have never before heard the name of Jesus
They plan to spend approximately three months in each location and visit several countries each year. In 2012, the tentative schedule is:
- India (winter/spring)
- Uganda/Sudan (summer)
- Nepal (fall)
Much like the missionary journeys of Paul in the bible, spending extended periods of time in several locations each year will allow them to be most effective for the ministry God has set before them.
Bond and Heather believe that God has called them to GO! They are currently in the process of selling most everything they own, renting out their home, developing ministry partners and preparing for full-time ministry as missionaries to Asia and Africa. They anticipate this season of preparation to take place September – December 2011 and they will be sent out in early 2012.
