Harvest Time in the Himalayas

Happy fall from Nepal! We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We know so many of you pray for our family, support us through your financial partnership and shower us with your love. We want you to know that we take time throughout the year and on Thanksgiving to ask the Lord to bless you for the tremendous gift you are to us and the ministry in Asia and Africa. Psalm 107:1 says, “Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever.” No matter what the past year has held, through difficult times, challenging circumstances, trials, health issues, changes in life…God is still good! We love that we have the opportunity to proclaim that in a country where many are still waiting to hear good news of great joy.

Harvest Time

It was a great honor to have some friends from So. CA join us in Nepal for a week of outreach    in several villages this past month. As part of their time, we were able to host a conference for village Pastors and Leaders who desire to grow in God’s Word. The conference focused on key doctrines of the faith and each day ended with a time of Q & A. We had 250 pastors/leaders and their wives attend with some traveling as far as 5 – 6 hours to come. Throughout the week, students and team members went out into the community to share skits, dances and the Gospel. It is harvest time in the villages where people are reaping their grain. It provided a beautiful visual picture of spiritually what it is all about. As we sow seeds into lives we pray they will take root and bear much fruit in the days, months and years to come. We were grateful to be able to serve together as a family, as Breanna is a village girl at heart where she can run in the outdoors, play with kids and splash in the river.Graduates Launched Out

It was a great privilege to celebrate two graduates from the CC Pastors Training Center and School of Ministry in Nepal this month. In Luke 14:23 it says, “Go out to the highways and byways and compel them to come in, that my house maybe filled”. As Majiya and Raju return to their villages, pray that many would hear and “come in” as each of them will be establishing and planting churches. Sending out faithful men to reach the unreached and planting churches is our passion and we are thankful to be in this together with you!!! There are already trips planned to each of their locations to come alongside and encourage them in this venture of faith in the months to come.

Lunch With Lepers

If you would have told us 10 years ago that we would be hanging out in slums and having lunch with lepers we would have told you that you are crazy! But, this month that is exactly where we spent some of our days and it was a joy to serve with the students. We met a sweet elderly lady who welcomed us into her home. As we sat on her floor and she shared that she was 83 and lived alone without family that visited. It was evident that she was lonely and just needed a friend to talk to. It was a privilege to share with her about Jesus who invaded history and desired to have a personal relationship with her. She was receptive to the message we came to share with her, but said she needed time to think more about it. We look forward to visiting her again soon and love the opportunities we have been given to sit in the homes of lepers to tell them they are not alone, forgotten, abandoned or forsaken.
