Good Friday Becomes Best Friday

“Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.  For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:19-20)

Listening to the news about persecution in the world and about our country’s new constitution made us think more about stepping out in our faith for the sake of the Gospel and knowing that the Word of God is above all. Psalm 119:89-90 says, “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You established the earth, and it abides.” As the Word of God says, “His faithfulness endures to all generations,” so why shouldn’t we proclaim His good news during this Resurrection week and invite our community people/friends, etc.  All of the Bible College students were excited to sing worship songs, perform Gospel dances, and share testimonies. It was a great time to see so many people listening to the Good News.  It was a great time with all of our friends and family who attended our outreach program. We were able to tell them about Jesus and what love He demonstrated 2000 years ago for us. It was on Good Friday that we invited people to attend Calvary Chapel for the program that the Bible college students planned. We all said together, “It’s God who did it and brought people to whom we shared the Gospel.”  Please pray for those who heard the Good News on that day. Praise God!

Resurrection Sunday

Can we do it like Peter and John did in the “Book of Acts”?

We say that, “We have learned to leave our comfort zone for Christ.” We do it because Jesus left His throne to reach us and redeem us. Students were amazed at what they were able to do for Jesus during our outreach program. We believe that each student, though it will be hard, will be doing the same thing when they are in their home villages. We also gave out booklets of the Gospel of John and we have heard that people received Christ after reading the booklets! Please keep on praying for those who have yet to receive Christ, but have received a booklet and heard the Gospel at the program. Praise God!

We love to do what God asks us to do. There were 3 guys and 2 girls that we have been able to disciple for a long time now. These people are between the ages of 17-26 years old. Please continue praying for them as they are so eager to learn more from the Word of God and want to be used by God powerfully in the days to come. They have stepped out in faith by receiving Christ against their culture and against their family.  We Praise God that these people have been bold for Jesus even though their families are not Christian. Our Church rejoices because these young men and women want to give their life to Christ- forsaking all the things this world offers. We know that they are going to face a lot of challenges, so please pray that God may minister to each of them.

Thank you so much,

– Anand and Usha
