Our Story

Chris and I met at my new place in Anaheim, CA on August 16th, 2007.  I was on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ and had just been re-assigned to the LA Metro Team.  I had just moved in with my new roommate Holly Ashman! Holly had just bought a new condo and she wanted all new furniture.  So she bought new stuff from Ikea! As you well know, Ikea furniture has to be put together…so Holly called her friend Chris (who went to the same church as Holly) to see if he would come help us put together some furniture.  Two weeks later, Chris and I were officially dating.  The Lord works in mysterious ways! :)

On Feb 8th, 2008 Chris asked me to be his wife! I said yes!! :)   On Oct 4th, 2008 we got married!!

This is my letter to supporters which explains my heart to serve in Missions!  Chris works full time at The Word for Today which is the radio ministry of Pastor Chuck Smith in Costa Mesa, CA.

June 2008

Dear Friends,

In many ways this is one of the most difficult letters I’ve had to write.  After 8+ years of equipping students to reach others with the life-changing message of love and forgiveness found in Jesus Christ, I am leaving the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ.  As you may imagine, this is a bittersweet time for me.  I’ve loved being a part of the mission of Campus Crusade for Christ and serving alongside some of the most wonderful people, many who have become dear friends.  But, over the last year, I have had restlessness in my soul.  Over time, with much prayer, and a series of events it has become clear that God is moving me in a new direction. One of those events is getting engaged to Chris.  Chris and I sought the Lord about him joining the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ.  Campus Crusade for Christ has a policy that both husband and wife have to join the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ.  The Lord made it clear to both of us that He was not leading us in that direction.  This means that I must leave staff with Campus Crusade for Christ.

I have always said that if the Lord lead me off staff then I would love to continue to be involved in missions through a church or even be married and do church planting.  My heart for missions has not changed.  The Lord provided an amazing opportunity through the world mission’s organization at my new church here in southern California. It is called Saving Grace World Missions.  I am so excited, and yet, humbled to be entrusted with this job as their missions coordinator!  We believe this is the new direction God is calling me to take.

My vision for the missions and the gospel spreading around the world is the same vision and mission that this organization shares.  My vision is help the church better encourage, build up and train our missionaries that are on the field.  Many times these missionaries feel alone or forgotten or are in desperate need of financial help.  I will be bringing the best of Campus Crusade for Christ to help these missionaries.  God is moving in the lives of people around the world and we have missionaries in 17 countries that are advancing the love and hope of the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is an exciting time as the Lord continues to do incredible things in countries around the world where people are persecuted for the gospel.
Being a missionary myself I have personal experience of the power of the gospel to change lives.  I don’t want to miss opportunities like this!  I look forward to the day when the Lord has reached all people with the gospel message. (2 Pet. 3:9)

Saving Grace World Missions is small mission’s organization.  Similar to Campus Crusade for Christ, each staff member of Saving Grace World Missions is responsible to raise their own financial support needed for living expenses and ministry needs. Chris and I need me to continue to have my income to help with our financial needs.  I would like to ask you to consider continuing to partner with me as I leave Campus Crusade for Christ and faithfully serve the Lord in this new direction as the mission coordinator for Saving Grace World Missions. I am so thankful for you and your consistent, faithful encouragement and financial support.  The Lord has blessed me greatly through you and I hope to continue partnering with you in this new adventure!  I will call you soon with more details and to inquire about your decision.

With Much Love and Appreciation,  Cindy Moore  soon to be Mrs. Chris Broniste
