“For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe. He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing” Deuteronomy 10:17-18

We hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying Spring!

We flew to the US in early February for a much needed furlough, our 18 hour flight to the US was more relaxing and enjoyable than our previous flights. It helps that our girls are older and slept through most of the flight and they enjoyed the inflight entertainment for kids on board.

We are on a 3 month “support raising” furlough, in our past newsletter we had requested for prayer for a place to stay and for a car to use while we were on furlough and God answered our prayers. A friend opened up her home in Menifee, CA to us to stay this has been such a blessing also we were blessed to get a car to use while we are here. Thank you for praying.

Dave and Twinkle have been speaking at churches and groups about our ministry in Kenya. We have had sweet times of fellowship with our friends and family members here.

Dave has been working at the FRM office on weekdays and Twinkle has been homeschooling the girls.

If you read our last newsletter then you would understand that God has been stirring our hearts up to help stop Human Trafficking in Kenya, we have been in prayer and have been attending conferences on Labour, Sex and Human trafficking and have gathered much information. We hope to return to Kenya and bring awareness to the body and to the community. Please pray that the Lord would direct us on how we can help stop modern day slave trade and human trafficking in Kenya.

We are in California on furlough until May 15th, pray that the Lord would refresh us & He would provide sufficient finances for us to return to Kenya and continue serving in the ministry. If you would like us to visit with you or speak at your church, fellowship groups, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

February 2012

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. “Amen” Colossians 1:13-14

Hope this newsletter finds you well.

Grace has been a member of our church & women’s ministry for the past 4 years on an off. She asked Twinkle for prayer as she was planning to leave to Dubai to work at a shoe factory. Grace is a very poor unemployed single mother. She responded to an ad in the paper to work abroad. She said the agency would pay for her to get a passport and for all the visas needed for the trip and fly her to Dubai (in the United Arab Emirates).

Twinkle immediately asked her If the organization was legit as sex trafficking & slave trade of Kenyans to The Arab countries has become popular. Grace was not sure and Twinkle prayed with her & that God would show her clearly if this was His will for her. Twinkle asked her to go ask questions to the Agency, but Grace seemed a bit reluctant and pretty desperate and maybe thought it was a chance to get out of her poverty.

Jamie & Natasha ( other missionaries who serve with us) tried to talk to Grace & shared the media stories on sex trafficking in Kenya to discourage her from going as well.

Dave went with Grace, Natasha and Jamie to that employment agency which was a little tiny room in down town Nairobi with just a desk and 4 chairs. Dave started asking the guy various questions. The first thing Dave noticed that he kept calling her by a different name. And the job of working at a shoe factory was now off the table and she would be house help for someone. She would no longer be going to Dubai but to a place called Bahrain. All of his answers seemed to be on a slippery slope. Even the simple question of who will hold Graces Passport when she arrives to Bahrain. He said “the people of the house she will go and work for will hold her Passport” and I said that “that is illegal” and he went on to say that it was a normal practice and gave bad examples to justify himself. So to make a very long story short Grace was swayed by money and her Mom to go and fill out the wavers and they ended up flying her out a day earlier. So she is there and we have not heard form her so far. Please Pray for her. Please pray for Grace’s protection and that God would give us wisdom to stop other girls from our church and the community from getting involved in such rackets.

Meanwhile there was another girl in the waiting romm of this office room who was to leave that very evening to Dubai and Natasha spoke to her and she decided not to go. Praise the Lord!!

We are in California on furlough until May 15th, pray that the Lord would refresh us & He would provide sufficient finances for us to return to Kenya and continue serving in the ministry. If you would like us to visit with you or speak at your church, fellowship groups, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

BABY DEDICATIONS

In early February Dave had the honor of doing a baby & toddler dedication during a Sunday service. 7 parents made a commitment before the church and before God to love the Lord with all their hearts soul and strength and train up (disciple) their children up as per the Word of God and to teach the Word of God to their children. DEUT 6:4-9

Last month Twinkle was sick most of the month with abdominal pains, and we had many tests done on her and she also had and endoscopy done by a Gastroenterologist in Nairobi that showed she had excessive amounts of acid being produced in her stomach and had GERD, She is on strong proton pump blockers now which has improved her symptoms, please pray for healing for her.

Our daughters just keep growing! Bianca celebrated her birthday on January 14th, she turned 7 years old, our Sophia celebrated her 4th birthday on February 3rd.
“ May The Lord bless you and keep you; May The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; May The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ’ Num 6:24-26
